That's stupid, if they are still athletic socks the color doesn't matter.said_aouita wrote: Ankle footy black socks are one thing, black tube sock are entirely different.
The number one goal for EVERYONE in high school PE is not to break a sweat.ccrunner609 wrote: k-3 should focus on gross motor development, lots of full inclusion games, modified sports and exercise development
4-8 should be alot more exercises that involve running and strength development (my running club gets in over 3,000 miles a year per grade) intro to lifetime sports and rec/ team sport skill and rules. Less modification and more specific sports games.
9-12 increase physical activity emphasizing on lifetime fitness. Developing the social aspects to exercise and recreational activities. Minimize competition (by this time kids have already figured out if they are into competative sports or not) HS PE shouldnt have alot of competition. )
All along you are pushing towards empowerment and social skills of students in these types of environments, teach individualization and cooperation.

It's just something between us that others in the teaching profession on here know about.UA5straightin2008 wrote: wait, you guys are father son?
For verification to others, that statement is the fact.ccrunner609 wrote: BRF is more of my internet dad. Teaching is the tie that binds.
And I would say to you............"what do you do?"dwccrew wrote: I would make sure my students learned that those who can, do; those who can't, teach.
Any comment you say to me won't bother me, so I very much doubt I won't like it, because I won't care.BRF wrote:And I would say to you............"what do you do?"dwccrew wrote: I would make sure my students learned that those who can, do; those who can't, teach.
As a guy who went to college to become a teacher, that is a comment that I despise. You say that to my face, you get some response back you won't like.
And, YOU, buster, are starting to step on my last nerve.
I doubt that. I have coached high school kids in wrestling and our team was pretty successful, but you are right as far as me not making a good teacher. I recognized that long ago, hence never becoming one. It just wasn't for me, just as what I do probably isn't for you.ccrunner609 wrote:By your last 2 posts.....it is obvious that you are about you and nothing else. You wouldnt of made a good teacher and probably been ran ove rby HS kids.dwccrew wrote:Any comment you say to me won't bother me, so I very much doubt I won't like it, because I won't care.BRF wrote:And I would say to you............"what do you do?"dwccrew wrote: I would make sure my students learned that those who can, do; those who can't, teach.

It's sad that someone on an internet message board can get on your nerves by voicing their opinion, whether you disagree or not.
As far as what I do, I work for one of the largest chemical distibutors in the world. I also own 20 rental units, which is something I'd like to expand on in the future. I would rather work for myself than someone else and I am getting closer to that goal every day.
I also went to college and actually thought about becoming a teacher, but that would have limited me and I wouldn't have been able to achieve my personal goals.
I served in the military which paid for my college degree. I plan on getting my masters in the near future, which will be paid for by the company I currently work for.
Wow!dwccrew wrote: I enjoy achieving at a higher level than most. I am very competitive in that sense. So I am not so much about myself, but about setting myself apart from others that are content with mediocrity.
You asked what I do, I told you what I did. Not sure how that is explaining myself, I don't really feel the need to explain myself for anything. Just answering your question of what it is that I do. Enjoy your snow day off tomorrow. I'll be at work, sadly.BRF wrote:Wow!dwccrew wrote: I enjoy achieving at a higher level than most. I am very competitive in that sense. But good for you.
I'm glad that we got you to explain yourself on an internet message board.
I hope you learned that saying that "thing" to teachers is a very negative "no no".
Good enough for me.dwccrew wrote: You asked what I do, I told you what I did. Not sure how that is explaining myself, I don't really feel the need to explain myself for anything. Just answering your question of what it is that I do. Enjoy your snow day off tomorrow. I'll be at work, sadly.
