There are only a few on the OC that know me (friendship started back on the Huddle and OC) ….. as for Heretic, lhslep134 and a few others the skewed perception of Belly is really very humorous and flattering. I have offered many times to those whom find me difficult to meet with me… that offer still stands

How long would it be before there's a nationwide story about how some gun shop won't sell a gun to someone for [enter reason here] and everyone gets all up in arms?

If you start posting where guns were purchased from, that's what will happen. It won't be "they didn't sell me a gun because I'm batshit crazy", it'll be "THEY DIDN'T SELL ME A GUN BECAUSE I'M A BLACK MUSLIM!!!!!"

Gawd ....if I get another anti -gun meme / article /opinion on my Facebook page, I'm going to have to unfriendly some of my liberal friends. Some of the stuff is so stupid... The latest being some article about how 5 women a day are killed by their domestic partner WITH A GUN. Mrs. Hits saw it first and dispatched a quick comment to my cousin.... " really C*****, do you think if he didn't have a gun, the assh*** wouldn't have found another way?"

Sorry, but that's a dumb response by your wife. The amount of in the moment domestic disputes that escalate to murder just because a gun is around merits looking at.

To me this is kinda what gun control boils down to. How many gun murders happen because the person was determined to do it, and would have found a way no matter what? How many happen because people were really pissed off in the moment, and happened to have access to a gun?

If we think a significant percentage falls into the former group, controlling gun access will really help curb deaths.

Sorry, but your response is so typical of the myopia surrounding guns and violence, and the narrative that if we remove guns, it'll all go away. I'm sorry that you buy into that... Because if it's a crime in the heat of the moment, it's far less likely that someone would have a gun on his person... As opposed to using his fists or grabbing a kitchen knife. I've had two employees that have been victims of domestic abuse, one that was beaten to within an inch of her life, and in neither case did the abuser use a gun even though they owned one. Anti gun groups put this stuff out there to justify their attempts, but it's simply not true.
