I hate that refs refuse to call a shooting foul when a team is intentionally fouling.

Stanford pounding UNLV into submission. Very surprising considering how great UNLV looked while out-powering Morehead and Sam Houston State by a combined three points earlier in the week.

How can anyone fuck up so badly with so much sheer talent? I mean, honestly, at this point what the fuck is Dave Rice's sales pitch? He has to be the worst manager of talent in college basketball.

Not this year. And not likely in the future. His talent is nowhere near where it was 2 years ago.

The Anthony Bennett-led team had the most individual talent, but last season's collection of talent presented Vegas with its best chance of getting to a Final Four IMO. The Rebels sported an elite front court and featured an army of skilled players on the perimeter. And this year Rice has a top five recruiting class. Despite the string of defections in the off-season, there is no shortage of talent for Rice. Expectations at minimum were an NCAA birth and that looks grim at this point.

Rice's status at UNLV seems contingent upon his ability to continue to lure local Vegas talent (e.g. Findlay Prep), but at some point his pyramid scheme is going to come crashing down.

Amazing game by Towbridge. Beilein should immediately pull Donnal's scholarship. What about Loving and Hayes while we are at it?
Towbridge did fine against Vitto Brown too. And yeah Central definitely called off the dogs in that second half, totally owned them in the first half and then switched to a basic zone D and just kinda held on to the game.

Donnal was in foul trouble because Keith beat him almost every time to the hoop in the first half and had to hack him. That's why he doesn't belong in the B1G, he was noticeably slower

But, then you watch his footwork, vision, shooting ability, dribbling for a guy his size and other things. You wonder how good the kid can become with B1G coaching.

He isnt the second coming, and was obviously behind Loving/Hayes/Brown and probably Lamb (who elected for baseball). But, he will be a damn good player, IMO.
Idk I just do not understand how you both think he is that good. He could not score on Towbridge, hell some of the people in the crowd thought that kid from Africa was the UM recruit not Donnal. Only reason he looked as good as he did was because he played in the NLL

Central had 6 (maybe 7) kids on that team who could've gone on to play D1 college ball. 3 elected for football. The also have a coach who is one of the all time greats. Of course CCHS was gonna roll that game. AW was a single person.

I don't understand how you DONT see it. I'll take the UofM coaches ability to recruit as well as Dan Dakich who had him on his AAU team over yours...

Exactly against D1 talent he was nothing. And he had some solid players on his team like that one African kid, it wasn't all him. How on Earth is he going to compete against a whole team of guys like Loving/Hayes and Brown? His shooting ability is the only reason he was so highly touted, but he'll be exposed this year as being someone who belongs in the MAC

Christian Wood with 18 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks tonight for the Runnin' Rebels. He's finally starting to put it together. If he can get his three ball to drop with consistency, an area of his game he really excelled at in high school, Wood will blossom into a very dangerous player. For a spindly kid just south of seven feet, he's got a pretty polished game.

UK with 8 blocks at halftime tonight. Five in the second half would put them at 10/game.

Akron completed the USC sweep in the Charleston classic. Both will most likely finish in the bottom half of their conferences, but its nice to go 2 for 3 against high major's without Treadwell. Loss was to Miami, but I think they'll surprise the ACC this year with ARod.

Kentucky played like absolute dog shit and still won 86-28. There are going to be some brutal, brutal beat downs of teams similar to the 1996 team.

They also played Montana St. A team picked to finish at the bottom of the Big Sky.

Who hung 78 on UCLA. UK gets UCLA soon. Still, only 113-78 against the Bruins. And yes, Montana State was awful.

Feels very similar to when Gillispie lost to Gardner-Webb and San Diego before getting canned at year's end.

Eastern Wasjington is a good team who will be favored to make the NCAAs.

But good lord is that a horrible loss. Tom Crean is done. What a terrible coach. How is Hanner Perea our, literally, ONLY post player. Just a joke. They have to make 10+ 3s a night to win, which is not a recipe for success.

Its all relative.

E. Washington should win the Big Sky and be a 13/12 seed in the NCAA tournament. I consider that a good team.

However, its still a terrible loss at home. That should never happen. But, I think you can have both. Indiana should beat E. Washington in Bloomington, but E. Washington is a good team at the same time.

I definitely agree with you. Kinda like Duke/Vermont last year just that Duke didn't lose to them lol.

Well, yeah, that game wasn't in the NCAA tournament, so the Dukies were able to pull it out.
