Bobby Hurley's boys playing tough in Rupp. Up 34 to 33 as the first half nears a close. Kentucky easily will win by double digits, but still an impressive showing early.

Yeah, the ending of this one was never in doubt. Still amusing to see the Kentucky students dancing in the aisles after a game-tying dunk in the second half against Buffalo.

To be fair, Duke beat Vermont in Cameron by one last season. These small schools are fucking talented.

And these big teams, especially early, are very raw and not used to playing with each other...and in many cases, used to playing against a team who is capable of breaking a man to man press...

UK played awful for the first 25 minutes, but Buffalo isn't awful. Kansas had the same the other nice with UCSB. The only thing I'm concerned about with UK and the platoon system is, does it sometimes sacrifice the best match-up for the SITUATION? There are already some players I'd like to see with others. Both Trey Lyles and Dakari Johnson are on the "second team" yet are by far the best 2 players thus far. Poythress and Towns have been outplayed big time by those guys at their same position.

Looking forward to Southern Methodist at perennial underachiever Gonzaga tonight. Should be really interesting to see Kyle Wiltjer in action for the Bulldogs. I think he has the chance to be a star in Spokane, much in the same way that Kelly Olynyk became.

Miami up one on Florida in the O-Dome with under 4 minutes to play. The 'Canes, picked by most to finish as low as 10th in the ACC this season, are on an 18-1 run.

Florida just got Eli Cartered.
Great comeback by Jim Larranaga's crew. They were dead in the water. The man can coach.

The college basketball season has officially begun.
Now we got fun-and-gun Iowa State against one of the most dangerous offensive teams of any mid-major in the country. I'm pretty excited right now.

LOL Winthrop. Jesus also fucking gave Clemson a chance to tie it. Up 4 with 2.3 seconds left. Clemson goes down and shoots a 3 dude gets fouled.... thankfully he doesn't make it but .4 seconds put on the clock. Clemson missed the 1st FT tho so it didn't matter. They hold on to get the win.

I really hope this UConn-Stanford women's game goes to overtime so we can miss the start of a game that actually matters.

Gotta love Dave O'Brien acting like he gives a fuck about this game. I'll give him credit. It's a Russell Crowe quality performance.

Really looking forward to the Rockets vs Rams tonight.
VCU is a proven Mid-Major and I have not been shy about my opinion that Toledo is a top 5 Mid-Major this year. Great early test for both programs. Toledo with more to prove, but this game could go a long way for both at the end of the year...

Good day in general, with three Top 25 match-ups (that one, MSU-Duke and Utah-SDS) and potential quality games of local interest (ranked OSU vs. Marquette and ranked VCU vs. Toledo).GOONx19;1675788 wrote:Really looking forward to the UK/KU game.
Meaning that one early-season college basketball Tuesday has more good match-ups than about half the CFB weeks.

Is Drake any good? I know BG rolled them, hopefully the rivalry can actually be exciting againLaley23;1675704 wrote:Really looking forward to the Rockets vs Rams tonight.

Well, you've pretty much already said the answer to the question must be "HELL NO", so there you go.Classyposter58;1675794 wrote:Is Drake any good? I know BG rolled them
