A pic from Deadpin of him at a game of his alma mater doesn't say much. I highly doubt he hasn't been keeping his skills sharp. This isn't fat Albert Haynesworth we're talking about.
Saying he didn't do shit was an exagerration, but he can work out all he wants it is not going to prepare him for the grind of the NFL, it will not prepare him for the speed of defenses he will see, and it sure as hell won't prepare him for all the defensive schemes he will see. Not only that, but he has to learn a brand new offense.
Also, for all the time he was off, he had the mindset that he probably wasn't going to play. All of a sudden they expect him to flip a switch and be in playoff contending mode? LMAO ok. Drinking beers at a USC tailgate doesn't get you mentally ready for the NFL. You can't tell me the guy was expecting to play when he was working out, thus probably led to a less intensive training program than he normally would have.
