lhslep. Are you serious with the baseball better team in playoffs stuff? Cardinals, Marlins (X2), Indians and Rockies in 07, Tigers in 2006, Giants LAST YEAR! It happens all the time where the Wild Card makes a run, or the team who isnt favored wins. A great team in baseball will lose 4 of 10 games. Underdog team in the playoffs will lose 5 of 10 games. That is a 1 game difference.

As far as streaky goes. He was saying, quite clearly, that in the playoffs anything can happen, especially if Santana is on a hot streak and not a cold one.

Ha I think he is upset because he is from Liberty, where there is a high population of them. Anyhow, I can't watch many more games with Kearns playing. We NEED someon to play the outfield with Brantley and Buck (or whoever else we can throw out there). Hell, I'd rather see Duncan out there than Kearns.

Also, I just read what you posted while I was posting. "At the very least good pitching wins"...we have better pitching that the Yankees (easily) the Red Sox are (closer). Rangers probably have us, at least in the starter department.

QQ get over it. Stereotypes are created and exist because there is some truth to it. People think I am an automatic hot head, because I am part italian. You don't see me crying about that. If the worse thing someone can say about you is "you are rich and stingy," then you probably shouldn't be bitching.

Not necessarily, according to GM Sandy Alderson, who insisted Wednesday the deal for K-Rod is not the start of a fire sale. Alderson, of course, could be telling suitors that Beltran will not come cheaply.

The speculation regarding Beltran will only escalate and the outfielder has fanned the flames with his candid comments about trade partners. The outfielder, for example, said it would be a no-brainer to OK a deal to the Red Sox should he be asked to do so.

Beltran is drawing "real interest" from as many as seven clubs, tweets Olney. Olney added later Wednesday that the Yankees are not one of those clubs.
