Anger? When have I hurt someone? When have I ever got in trouble with a school system for bad behavior? When have I been obsessed to follow and stalk some one for months at a time because of mad envy? Sid if you will pray for the protection of my family and truth to come out and the security issues to stop your prayers are appreciated... Sincerely but that looks in doubt. If they did not do any of the spying, taping, tail gating or pic taking what is in the packet Genius. Do all my family need Schizophrenia Counciling for their delusional first hand experiences. Did the window company shoot out my windows with a BBgun so they could make some money? Do all my great neighbors in Waynedale that have called us to warn us that there are people in the neighborhood to keep an eye on and to be careful? You have no clue ..or your one of them and your starting to worry. First day in front of a Judge tomorrow ...the truth will clear up all that muddy water and they will be drinking it soon. I'am hoping some real officers from the OHSAA are reading these threads and can mitigate their damages, move things up and realize mistakes were made before anymore harm is done and no one gets hurt. Some people out there are obsessed with us and have been relentless , names should come soon.

Falcon, Im not anywhere near your school system. Your rhetoric concerns me. If your wrestlers/family have been wronged, I wish you well. Fight the system if it has wronged you. But, please look at the big picture sir. If you lose this battle you can still win the war. Show your children that sometimes life knocks you down...fair or not. But, you get back up and start again. Obliviously you have raised some great wrestlers and taught them many valuable lessions as well as your daughter. Teach them this one too.

Well Sid ....who is teaching your kids...You? Do your teach your kids to name call and slam people when they are down? You won't be baby sitting mine. Read the Wooster paper about how my family and twins conducted our selves and supported our teammates at the Waynedale Duals the day after devastating news and then spew your words of advise . Thats if you research before you form a opinion , something we teach our children.Sid;652184 wrote:Falcon, Im not anywhere near your school system. Your rhetoric concerns me. I hear you like most of us do but, you keep spewing nonsence. I truly think there is a bigger issue here. I stated the obvious. You post radical thoughts and paraniod ideas. If you've been wronged I wish it gets right. Once again I am not affected if your boys are eligible or not. I just wish someone would help you in the way you need. Good luck to you bro!

The case involving the young lady from Smithville keeps be referred to here, but please remember, according to the same Daily Record newspaper you cite, the girl was found inelligible due to the fact she had not resided in the Norwayne school district long enough to meet OHSAA eligibility requirements. She was found inelligible for that reason, and that reason only.
Was the OHSAA following it's own rules in declaring her inelligible? Yes.
Was how the OHSAA found out about her living situation a witch hunt? Apparently so.
Is she not now able to play due to an exception made by the OHSAA after learning some facts? Yes.
Was the OHSAA out of bounds in investigating this case once an error in the paperwork had been discovered? No.
The facts remain the facts, you just have to get your day in court, and prove your case before the OHSAA, which it sounds like you are on the path of doing.

Yes sir! Just facts . No name calling or insults. But please don't kill the thread because I'am called a name! Please let them fire away I don't mind! People want to stay updated on the case and the facts of the case that led up to and are being talked about in the paper! I don't have the Bully pulpit of the State press core! I'am the little guy( a little over weight physically) please don't kill my thread. I will work hard not to retaliate to the critics only answer sound questions. Thank you for your concern and running a great public Forum. This is by far now the Best Forum in the State of Ohio!

Not killing the thread just wanting it to stay on subject and of course no one loses their cool and goes on a profanity laced tirade or anything.

First and foremost I feel for the two boys. I'm pretty sure all they want to do is compete. I also appreciate the efforts of the father to get them back on the mat but I have to admit it's turning into a bit of a circus.
Not having been through anything like this my opinion is just that, an opinion.
If I felt confident that I did everything I was supposed to do in order to facilitate a transfer, had the backing of school administrators from both districts, filed the paperwork on time, etc. and then was told a clerk made an error I think I would have approached the situation differently.
First I would have contacted the OHSAA for clarification (which it appears you did), when word came down it was a misinterpretation of custody stating proof of still being married and the kids all living in the new home should have been sufficient. I find it hard to believe the OHSAA would maintain their decision based on an obvious error. I find it unlikely, though nothings impossible, that a clerk at the OHSAA has the power to issue a suspension. I've got to believe the OHSAA has been down this road many times (maybe not exact same circumstances) and isn't looking to put itself in a bad light intentionally. The fact is there have been instances where dishonestly occurred and it is their job to investigate, mediate and rule based on the facts available to them. I am certain they have gotten some cases wrong but also certain they get some right. (Note: I am not defending the OHSAA, merely stating their responsibility)
Putting myself in your situation I think I would have taken a lower key approach to resolving the situation. Going public like you have online and in the media doesn't serve your best interests imo which I hope is just to get your sons reinstated. Given the facts reported by you had I not gotten a satisfactory explanation I too would have retained an attorney. I would then let the legal process take its course. If all that you have stated is true then an attorney should be able to wrap this up in a couple of days. The OHSAA is not going to risk damaging their reputation or opening themselves to a lawsuit over a minor clerical error.
Again, as a father of a wrestler I understand your desire to help your kids out. Just dial it back a bit on the public side and things will probably work out for everyone involved.

To all my wrestling friends out there and there have been so many, My family Needs your help desperately. To all my Waynedale neighbors who have ever stopped by I need your help! Please make a statement in writing and send it to me. These are very valuable to us! We unlike our stalkers did not keep track of our hour to hour activity on all 9 of our family members thinking there was no need to. We felt safe to have fully disclosed our situation in detail with the clerk at OHSAA who now changed her written eligibility notice and says she remembers nothing and zero conversations with the Executives of the Waynedale school district. if your a person that was informed of the stalkers and tapers please write me a letter confirming that. The Waynedale Community can beat this if we stand together united!! There will be A State Championship hanging on the Halls of Waynedale when this is over in the next two years!! Do Not let it be taken away by a Bureaucrat with a bad memory or a envious parent or coach from another school. Please get these letters to me asap!!.

Falcon, I have no direct knowledge of any of the things that you speak, but if there is a letter or anything I can type to help with with the OHSAA then I would be glad to do so, as I am also a father of a wrestler, and desire nothing more than to give my son the best opportunity I can for him to be able to compete at the highest possible level that he can. Let me know if there is anything I can do.

Well put but i disagree. The voice of the people can be louder than the back rooms of lawyers! We did attempt to call back Friday. All phone were put on do not disturb for the rest of the Day.That is a fact. They would not even speak to the Superintendent who was sure he could straighten things out but they refused to even talk!stonewallj;652289 wrote:First and foremost I feel for the two boys. Now for you skeptics the law firm I hired has deep history with this office and in fact informed me this Clerk is given this power to make a off the cuff decision eligibility calls on her own. The Board did not review this. But agreed to one day to late for my sons season, two weeks from now. If it is broke please fix it. Sorry that is wrong. Their policy is let her make the call if its wrong we will fix it...This needs addressed. Please no one can disagree that its not good due process!

Falcon - Just trying to help, Bud. But I've seen all of what your going through, AND got the T-Shirt.
Your EMOTIONAL THINKING is preventing you from see this issue clearly....what your not seeing is that OHSAA has to look out for ALL the kids wrestling, they don't think your kid is any more special than the kid he just pinned in 5 seconds. ----and thats the way the rest of us in the wrestling community want it. They simply cannot let YOU PICK where your kid wrestles, when the other kids have to compete in their own district. I understand it sucks for you, but its the way it HAS to be. (Dear Lord-please forgive me for defending OHSAA)
Do you really think you are the first parent to gaze at the shinning school down the road and wonder if that wouldn't be a better fit for "little Johnny SuperStud" ---NO WAY, MAN - It's happened a million times. -Trust Me. - But OHSAA had to put stringent residency rules and clear penalties in place to keep each wrestling season from looking like a huge game of "musical chairs". --Think about it

I totally get it ! Your build dreams and vision for a team! You don't let a absent minded clerk destroy a team or a kids life from a desk. I do believe in the rules, thats why we left Tuslaw and trust me the Superintendent knows what happened and did every thing he could do to make the transfer happen including several calls to OHSAA and pleaded that a major safety issue was in place that made the twins staying impossible. Why would he do that for a trouble making dad who had just saved all Tuslaw teachers 1.5 million dollars on their income taxes over 10 years and helped stop what was suppose to be done and unstoppable. Because we rallied! Because people spoke out ! It was over! But we won. Sorry I am and always will be a grass roots activist and I believe in the power of the press and one Voice leads to many. Lawyer's will be used also to the highest court if necessary and those accountable as individuals for this malice and slander will be held accountable. I will not call out those malicious individuals on this forum till their name is a public record and they also have a lawyer. There is stalking laws on intimidating and tracking with intimidation on a minor. Privacy laws! Wrestling it self is not the issue any longer. Its the pursuit of life , liberty, and justice for all with out fear of government agencies following and stalking and attempting to create fear and intimidation of freedom of choice and movement with out feeling like a felon with a ankle bracelet because you kids happen to be the best wrestlers in the area. If they were average like the parents of the kids stalking us no one would have said or done a thing!! Everyone knows that. No my Kids shouldn't get any special treatment and haven't but they have been treated horribly different because they are really good.. Thats WRONG!!!!!!!!!!Wolverine12;652390 wrote:You just don't get it....do you?

You'd get a bit more simpathy probably if you stopped explaining how your kids are the best wrestlers in the area. Tell them how your kids are some of the best young men in the area would probably work better.
Do you mind explaining the major safety issue for those of us who aren't familiar with the situation?

Falcon81 I know nothing of this situation but what I have read in this thread, but I Wear Pants is right about that point. You focus too much on your sons being better than everyone else on the mat in the area, that has no bearing on this situation and a sad situation all around. Not playing sides but I see his point!

Dean;
I have tremendous respect for you and how much you love you family. The truth always comes out and I know that, in the end, the twins (and your entire family) will be fine.
Stay off the forums for awhile. Let the attorneys do their job. That's what you pay them for (LOL).
I look forward to watching the twins at State THIS YEAR.
God Bless

Now you're starting to lose me. While unfortunate I would hope not wrestling wouldn't destroy your kids lives. Let's look bigger picture here please. The real problem now is that I do believe this is not about wrestling anymore for you and that's not good. Try to keep in mind that wrestling is exactly why you are in the position you're in right now. If the OHSAA is doing you wrong, and they may be, shame on them and I hope your boys get to wrestle. If not, this public spectacle will not look kindly on you sir. Best of luck to you.

Good question. Yes i was the head assistant coach when Tuslaw had its 1st State champ Roger Loar in 1986. Great match ! Roger came from way behind with a insane throw to win! The head coach at Tuslaw at the time, Ted Salsburg who was my HS coach at Fairless is still one of my best friends and retired from Field this year and now is a full time employee for my company and is here at my former home and now corporate office. Ted just left to open a new office in New York a few hours ago. Yes I was a coach at Tuslaw last year when my own twins went to State and had the fortune to coach them in the corner during their matches. No I was not affiliated and did not participate in the two fired head coaches at Perry in only 2 years! 3 coaches at Perry in the 2 years he was there! No comment on that. Self explanatory. I will admit I was adamantly against Cory going there. I loved coach Hostetler at Tuslaw! I was called every night by the coach till the day school started and finally gave in.I finally got my way , Cory came back and won a State title at Tuslaw. I am now a coach at Waynedale and I love it. The best kept secret in Ohio. The best fans in Ohio. A amazing administration from the super to principle to the AD to Coach Stanley!! Pure integrity! A true home town feel! No recruiting ...zero ...all home grown.. The love and support we have received from everyone mentioned has been amazing in these tough times and brought every one together. I coach several teams that compete nationally in the summer. Iam a freestyle/greco bronze level coach. I am certified and have helped coach developmental camps at Colorado Springs at the Olympic Training Center twice a year for the last 3 years . This is what brought Bobby Douglas and the long list of Olympians , world team members, NCAA champs and olypic coaches to Team nelson and I shared with a very thankless young coach at Tuslaw. Bobby Douglas me and the whole international crew were banned from the Tuslaw room so we left. Loui Stanley loves these legends and gives them respect when they are in his room or his kids are in my Team Nelson room in the summer. I hope that answers your question and qualifies me to be a unpaid volunteer assistant HS coach. I am sure most other assistant coaches in most schools are way more qualified with way more important and effective contacts in a small amish D3 school. Bobby and the Gang are not to shabby.
