I've read through this entire thing. As a player, fan, and coach, I have seen dozens+ times when an official put his hand up but an official with a better vantage point do something completely different, thus trumping the other one. It looks like that is what happened here.
I understand what you're saying. I just think that the other official came in and argued that he had a better vantage point so they went with his decision.
