This makes no sense...

Makes perfect sense.

He is able to down a glass of water before going to bed, and as a bonus it doesn't make him get up in the middle of the night.

His wife, on the other hand, is unable to drink water after 8pm, else she WILL need to get up in the middle of the night.

...but this one does...thank you.

LOL - thanks.  Should have said "up half the night peeing".

Believe it or not, we also disagree about the thermostat setting.   :)

PS:   I just checked with her, she said to make it "any water after 6 PM".

LOL. How does it not make sense? Because it doesn't specifically say "get up in the middle of the night TO PEE"? The peeing is clearly implied.

Yeah, I've been drinking 1-2 gallons of water a day now, so I do drink it well into the night.  I've also noticed I've been sleeping better.  I do have to pee during the midnight feed-and-change of my daughter, but the need to pee doesn't wake me up or anything.

I've also noticed that my lips, which are always dry and cracked lately, are less so.  I don't know if that's related or not, but I've noticed it.

In any case, I've become a big fan of slamming water all day.  Aside from the fact that it's the cheapest thing I can be drinking, of course.

That would be directly related. One of the early signs of dehydration is chapped lips.

That explains a ton, then.  I used to drink MAYBE 48oz of water a day.

I've been trying to cut back on the amount of coffee I've been drinking.  At one point, it was probably 7-10 12oz cups a day, which just seems like way too much.

I've been drinking way more water, and I've noticed that water first thing in the morning seems to help me wake up.  Anyone else ever notice that?

We recently got a heavy duty Keurig machine at work, along with free pods, so I've been trying to cut back on consumption at home to save a bit of money. Ideally I will only need to make coffee at home on the weekends.

I still don’t drink coffee but coffee shops have exploded everywhere since this thread was started. A Tim Horton’s opened on Monday and I’ve not went by and seen fewer than 20 cars in the drive thru. Our Starbucks opens in January.

The amount of women that live daily on the $7-$9 fancy coffees is hard to believe….I find that those that can afford them rarely get them and those that can’t really afford to have them much keep the places in business.

Never had a cup of coffee in my life.

Rotate energy drinks. Ghost, Alani, occasionally C4 but that’s rare.

Little espresso machine (Lavazza) that makes single servings. I love it. 4-5 each day.

I had a basic coffee pot in my classroom for about 10 years same one, I would drink about the whole pot during fall/winter.  When it starts getting warm out or in the summer I dont drink any coffee.  My new assistant came 2 years ago and brought a kerig and the 30 oz yeti doesnt really fit so I have a smaller 16 oz yeti I use but somehow it mostly does the trick and I just have one cup.  Maybe twice a week I will have 2 cups. Usually go with whatever dark roast or medium roast I can find on sale.

I like old fashioned home brewed coffee. Just bought a new KitchenAid coffee maker for my birthday, after my last one kicked the bucket after 25 years. KitchenAids are built like tanks and brew a nice, rich coffee. I'm not a fan of girlie coffees - anything with whipped cream, ice, flavors, etc. I want cowboy coffee!

Usually 8 cups (4 mugs) when I get up.
