The weird thing is all their teams were solid, none great. Purdue with the only real shot at FF. Iowa and Wisconsin had a decent shot at S16/E8. But the rest were always gonna be overperforming to advance past this weekend.
I had a feeling Vermont and Arkansas would be a good game.

Be tough on my bracket but hoping Akron can keep it up. Assistant coach to Jon Groce is Dustin Ford, got his coaching career going at Jackson High School back from 2001-2005. Shocked he’s never had his own program since but not sure he wants to….about his 4th different school with Groce
My bracket is shot. I think I had Kentucky in the final four. I’m sure I’m not alone. It’s whatever. I think it’s more intriguing to make a couple bold predictions like I did with Memphis over Gonzaga. I picked WSU over Arizona but I was just being a homer. If I was betting money I wouldn’t have picked them.

It’s incredibly more difficult to pick an accurate bracket. The gap has really closed between the high and low seeds. Ten years ago you could mostly go chalk and be fine. Now, just today you had a #2 seed lose, two #5s, a #6, and a #4 currently losing.

Yep. And with the covid years for the mid majors, its even more noticeable. Such experience and chemistry on these smaller schools.
