There is already a death pool thread, so don't worry about predicting that, but feel free to make any other predictions for the year in here.

My predictions:

  • Ohioans vote to legalize recreational cannabis this year (a new ballot initiative looks likely what I've seen of it it's much better than the previous attempt, which was utter garbage)
  • The Reds pitching is much healthier this season and they contend for a wild card spot, but fall just short (84 wins)
  • The Jets once again fail to find a franchise QB and continue to wallow in mediocrity.

The Browns will finally win a game.

EDIT: AJ McCarron will be the Browns starting QB in Week 1.

I mean, let's at least try to be reasonable.

I was. I think they should be able to luck into at least one win, with the personnel changes coming. Hue Jackson is the X Factor as to whether they can get that win. If he's sick that day, and can't attend the game, bank on one win.

Dave Parker probably the most likely.

After gaining 25% in 2017, the Dow will gain 11% in '18

GOP will gain seats in the US Senate

The Indians will lose in the ALCS

CNN will close its doors

Joey Chestnut will win his final July 4th Nathan's hot dog eating contest and retire as a champion

The banks are going to eat it this time on the subprime auto loans they have out there.

My only fear with this is DUI.  Frequency, testing on traffic stops.  I'm sure it is safer than driving after alcohol.

Otherwise have fun in the basement.

Why do you think this?

Why do you think this?

I've heard this argument before and I think a more valid argument is that:

You're significantly less likely to choose to drive impaired while high than you are when you're drunk.

Marijuana makes you (for lack of a better term) lazy. Alcohol doesn't necessarily have that effect.

Many Ohioians will vote to legalize cannabis, but it'll still fail.  Too many idiot Trump supporters believe pot is as bad as heroin.

Maybe 1 out of the 7 with "increase in diesel sales" being the only one correct.

I predict Trump is not POTUS come 2019.

Browns hit a HR in the draft And finish 7-9 to stArt their upward trend in AFC North domination.  All the pieces are in play with their new front office,  picks, money to spend and the steelers/ravens downfalls and the Bengals resigning lewis.

The ballot initiative never materialized.

LOL at my Reds prediction.

I'm pretty confident I'm wrong on my Jets prediction.
