You never want Messi. But France can expose their midfield. It’s just awful. Croatia would’ve presented even more problems, imo. That team is poised to make a deep run. Midfield is arguably the best in the world.

Also glad to see Sampaoli finally take off Di Maria for Dybala and get Pavon in the game. Immediately Argentina started to look competent moving forward (helped Nigeria fell back at that point). 

Di Maria shouldn’t be playing over Dybala for this team and Pavon needs to start SOMEWHERE.

Be so sweet if Mexico gets beat bad and gets left behind.
