The Cubs come to town for a two game series which starts an eleven game home stand. Chicago is 10-9 and the Tribe is now 12-8. 

Game 1 starts at 6:10 with Tomlin (0-2, 8.00) vs. Chatwood (0-3, 4.60).

Game 2 starts at 7:10 with Bauer (1-2, 2.67) vs. Lester 2-0, (3.10)

It doesn't look good weather wise for tonight's game as it's supposed to rain all day in the Cleveland area.

Chicago is struggling.... but baseball who knows. I expect an unsavory split.

You'd think they'd schedule a WS rematch/marquee type series on the weekend instead of hiding it in the middle of the work week. Bravo MLB !

Hammy has been lamenting the scheduling all month. I agree. This should be weekend series in the summer. Saturday afternoon on FS1 and Sunday Night Baseball. Oh well.

I'd expect a better turnout than normal for this series but it would likely be sure sellouts if it was on a warm weekend.

Tomlin's era actually has dropped to 7.71 so far.

 

Oooops.  He just gave up another one (Contreras).  And the era goes to 8.25.

Tomlin should never pitch versus teams who hit HRs. He is fine versus anyone without power. But my God he serves up some absolute meatballs and these flyball guys always smoke them.
