Busy day…been watching everything since 7:30

Sat down with my 27 brackets from school to get them marked and last I saw Nevada was up 17 with about 8 min to play…..I crossed off about 20 Dayton picks. Just now noticed they somehow won.

No shit, I was wanting to go to bed and they were reviewing everything...except for the pathetically blown call that actually deserved to be reviewed. And I had Samford on my bracket, so it's a true travesty of justice!

I was at the Florida/Colorado game.  GF pulled the, "I'm sick and I want to leave" card.  So... I got to see the buzzer beater in the hotel... 🤦🏼‍♂️

Allow me to give you the whole story.  I'm not very happy, and I don't agree with how we left, but... 

We couldn't board our 6:30 a.m. flight in Indy because of an issue.  We got to the airport around 4:30.  So we had to find a hotel quick, try to sleep, etc.  We've been dragging all day, and decided to go to the game (with my daughter and her friend).  The teenagers were "over it," but still... $300+ for the season for 4 tickets... let's stick this one out.  I got the "I don't feel well" a few times, but apparently I was supposed to read through the lines and suggest that we leave the game.  I'm the asshole for not suggesting...

Allow me to give you the whole story.  I'm not very happy, and I don't agree with how we left, but... 

We couldn't board our 6:30 a.m. flight in Indy because of an issue.  We got to the airport around 4:30.  So we had to find a hotel quick, try to sleep, etc.  We've been dragging all day, and decided to go to the game (with my daughter and her friend).  The teenagers were "over it," but still... $300+ for the season for 4 tickets... let's stick this one out.  I got the "I don't feel well" a few times, but apparently I was supposed to read through the lines and suggest that we leave the game.  I'm the asshole for not suggesting...

That’s just all rough. Good times gone bad.

My best similar story is Mother’s Day around 8-9 years ago my wife wanted to go to Reds game for Mother’s Day …cool let’s go.

Was a 1:05 game and started around 4:15 after a 3 hour rain delay. We got to stadium around 12:30. Game goes along and we have great seats in CF right beside grassy area in front of batters eye. Votto had 2 HR but game was heading to extras. It was pushing 8:00 and my wife (on Mother's Day) had enough and knew she had work the next morning. So my son and I look at each other and do what’s right in her day. 1 hour later as we are on Rt 32 and going through the 32/41 intersection at Peebles we hear Marty with the call “Votto with a drive, it’s deep….it’s GONE! WALK-OFF GRAND SLAM JOEY VOTTO!!!!

His 3rd Hr of the game. Next day we get up and I go watch the recording…and also see it as #1 play on Sportscenter that his walk off grand slam landed just a few feet from our seats.

Since then my son and I never leave within reason. We’ve seen several great things by staying. The last time was Vs Brewers and more rain….she willingly and was convincingly ok heading back to the car (she can’t stand rain) we sit out short rain delay and go sit down by Reds dugout in seats beside Mike Leake
