I don’t have an issue with either. Love the way all their teams play. Hard 40 minutes, 35+ times a year, for 4 years (then graduate). Good offense that generates great looks most times.

Sampson is intense, and not as personable as Shaka; but Shaka does that ridiculous defensive stance during the game from the sideline — and is ALWAYS on the court. I don’t like that.

Oh I can’t argue Samson isn’t a very good coach. I’ve liked Smart since his first big run with VCU. Impressive guy IMO. His postgame passion/emotions was real.

That game was awesome. No clue what Houston was doing on the last in bounds of regulation.

I've seen a game or three where Shaka does that thing where he winds up on (or virtually on) the court while a play is going on while in that stupid stance. What would happen if a player on the other team just trucked the shit out of him because he's "in the way"? Just because I would totally love to see that happen, but not necessarily if it means the player in question has to face actual repercussions.

It should be a technical, if he interfers. I would 1000% instruct my players to go out of the way and run into him. It is so annoying that he literally is a 6th defender at times and the refs just casually give him the stand back hand wave without actually enforcing anything.

I don’t consider losing to a 3 seed in the S16 falling short. Especially when it’s the best player in America right now knocking you out.

UNC on the other hand, that was falling short. But they have a track record where it’s acceptable lol

That’s fine. Lost in 11/6 game last year and it wasn’t close….lost wearing the home jerseys this year.

Looks like a really bad matchup for Duke

Mark Few with an abysmal gameplan tonight. Shocking from such a great coach.

Kind of actually feel bad for Houston. Seems they have great teams about every year now, but key injuries happen at bad times and they get beat earlier than expected. Losing Snead killed them last night. Kept it close, but never got over the hump. Fucking Duke...

It’s redemption from 2011 when Duke lost Kyrie for 2/3 of the year. That team was very good but never was able to heel gel and establish roles.
