Julio was a GREAT guess. He had 9.
Damon only had 5, if you can believe it.
Oliver fits that criterion. He (and actually seven others) had 11. However, there's one guy who isn't banned, isn't in the Hall, and had more after 1940.

Since 1940, this non-banned, Hall-eligible player has the most seasons batting .300 without making the Hall of Fame.

Thanks! I liked it.

Helton?
Cecil Cooper.

Helton. 12 seasons. Finished with a lifetime batting average of .316. The only two other non-Hall players are Rose with 15 (banned) and Riggs Stephenson with 12 (pre-1940).

Question #112:
Since 1900, these three non-pitchers are tied for the most seasons with fewer than 100 strikeouts among HOFers.
Tony Gwynn
Stan Musial
Ty Cobb
Pete Rose

Gwynn is tied for 29th with 20.

Stan is tied for 12th with 22.

Here's one. He's part of the three-way tie for first with 24 seasons under 100 SOs.

I think I was editing the question as you wrote this, but I meant for it to only be among HOFers.
24 seasons is a ton.
Yaz?
Rickey?
Brooks Robinson?

Yaz?
Rickey?
Yaz is tied for 4th with 23.
Ricky is tied with Cobb for 1st with 24 as well.

Brooks also had 23.
For the record, these are all just years active at all. If someone had 5 at-bats in a season, that would qualify, but it qualifies for all candidates.
The third winner still had over 8000 at-bats and is in the HOF, so it's not a Deion Sanders-type answer.
