Yep 2754
Vada Pinson was a cool dude.
I always liked looking at the wall of Reds at Camp Washington. So many memories.

Get him in the HOF!
Was about to guess Parker. Figured I92 was doing some digging on Parkers HOF creds and stumbled upon another stat lol

I already knew these guys that early 2700 hit number was cutoff number for a long time....you got a bit over 2700 and you were in. Vada Pinson was left out then Al Oliver and Rusty Staub followed. Parker a great RF with nearly 400 HR in a dead-HR era. Big RBI guy and also good batting average. No clue how Harold Baines got in
Baines played 22 years....never top 8 MVP, 1x top 15....never scored 90 runs? Only 2x hit 30 doubles, never over 25 HR....not a good fielder and a lot DH
Parker top 3 MVP 4x and 5x top 5....virtually same counting stats in 4 fewer seasons. Good fielder
Baines opens door for Parker and and McGriff IMO

Absolutely agree with all of this. Baines and his 38.7 WAR in 22 seasons should not have gotten in before McGriff (52.6, 19), Parker (40.1, 19), and Oliver (43.7, 18).
Question #114:
a) With all the sluggers in the Hall of Fame, only one has posted a slugging percentage of .600 or better in four different decades. Who is he?
b) There are only two HOFers who had a slugging percentage of .600 or more in 5+ seasons, all of which came in the same decade. Who are they?
Thome and Teddy?

For (b) I assume?

What the heck. Teddy is the answer to #1. His first .600 SLG season was 1939. His last one was 1960. He had 13 others in-between and is currently the player (HOF or not) with the most such seasons, two ahead of the Babe, three ahead of Bonds, and five or more ahead of everyone else.
Not bad for a guy who missed a couple prime years to the war.
