Was your other question Frank and Brooks or Chipper and Andruw?

It was actually cousins Mo and Greg.  In '98, Greg Vaughn popped 50 HRs to lead the Padres, and Mo got 40 to lead the Red Sox.

Ah, yeah.  They led their respective teams in HRs in the same year with the same last name, neither being HOFers.  That was what I was going for, but I was only half paying attention when I wrote the question, and it came out looking like a tire fire.

Question #110

What player in MLB history was the ACTIVE career strikeout leader longer than Nolan Ryan?

Clemens.

How many years did Ryan lead active players?

Question #111:

Since 1940, this non-banned, Hall-eligible player has the most seasons batting .300 without making the Hall of Fame.

Good guess, but he tops out at 7.  If you can believe it, that's tied for 55th of non-HOF players in seasons over .300.

Hey, I was surprised too.  I love me some Mattingly.

That number, for the record, includes banned players, whereas the question here does not, but still, that would only move him up a couple spots.

It's someone you'll know.  He's actually been an answer to a question or two in this thread already.

And it's not Minnie.
