I'll reserve my judgment of Baker and just be happy it wasn't Allen. I thought Darnold was better, but wtf do I know.. I liked Kizer.
We will never know how Kizer would have fared with a playcaller that wasn't an idiot.
the bright side is I've seen a couple people report Allen was our lowest rated QB, so that gives me faith in the staff.

Yeah we do, he sucks.

I'll be interested to see if learning from Aaron Rodgers helps him any. Couldn't have found himself in a much better situation.
When Hue was being interviewed yesterday, they asked him if he rushed Kizer into action too soon. Hue's response was "no, he was the best QB we had in the room." Sadly, between Kizer, Kessler & Hogan, Hue was right.
After watching the Behind Baker series, especially the last episode, I am sold. The kid is no Manziel.
Saw an article by one of the browns higher ups (can't remember if it was Dorsey or someone else) that explained the Ward pick.
They had a number of times (I can't remember the number, but it was high) that Myles Garrett was within 1 or 2 steps of the QB, but the coverage broke down way too fast. Ward was the best press corner in the draft and that's how they want to play to knock WRs off their routes giving Myles and Ogbah more time to get to the QB.

What is this, and now do I watch?

We’ve posted the article twice and talked about this twice already. Lol

I watched on Facebook. Imagine you could just google it and find it pretty easily.
Saw an article on why the Browns picked Ward. Apparently Williams watched the film on Myles and believes there were at least 25+ plays where he was 1-2 seconds away from hitting the QB. He believes a shut down corner will close the gap on that time.
It's literally Behindbaker.com

I can see that, but I'm also a skeptic. Sure, but what about when Myles is hurt/gassed? Who is our pass rush then? Is it banking on Ogbah and his 5 sacks a season? Pass rush > CB IMO. I'm sold on Ward being good, but I'm not sold on our pass rushers past Garrett or the health of them. In addition, there is some reason to be skeptical about Chubb as well. His combine 3 cone drill was fairly poor.
"Since 2000, 48 defensive ends and outside linebackers have run a 3-cone time of 7.3 or worse and a 40-yard dash time of 4.7 or better. It’s an odd combination to search but with Chubb, it’s what he is: a great athlete who was fast in straight-line speed but less so in the three-cone. Among those 48, there were seven first round picks: Ernie Sims, Aaron Maybin, Quinton Coples, Charles Grant, Marcus Smith, Takkarist McKinley, and Keith Bulluck."
Not exactly a who's who of NFL pass rushers. He could break the mold certainly, but this is an eyebrow raise.
Wow....finally got some love from this d-bag...
As far as Chubb goes, would've liked him but I've heard similar things. Have heard that the majority of his production came against very weak O-Linemen. He's more of a power/bull rush type guy who's kind of stiff in the hips and doesn't have the bend that Garrett does.

Considering he's a mouth piece for Hue, I found this interesting:
The division is weak beyond the Steelers, and I wouldn't be shocked if Cleveland ended up finishing second (though I still have a hard time seeing this head coach being around beyond this season).

I thought Mike Silver was Hue's mouth piece? All LaCanfora does (typically) is rip on the Browns. I agree that the Browns could fight it out for second in the division but the Rats had a pretty decent draft.

You are correct, I got my POS journalists mixed up.

I read parts of this thread like once a month and I don't go back and catch up on all the past comments. My bad.

Behindbaker.com, 9 episodes all around 7-9 minutes long. Can watch in about an hour and a half.
