love me some Dorsey

He was on Sirius yesterday and interviewed with Jim Miller & Pat Kirwan. Kirwan is a former longstanding GM and just listening to those guys talking about all of the Browns draft picks, using the technical/football jargon is super cool.

I'll love Dorsey when we win. That means he's doing his job right. Until then I'm cautiously optimistic.

Listening to the press conference today it’s hard to not love mayfield. Super intelligent kid.

• Here’s what it come down to between Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold: 2 3/8 inches. “Baker’s obviously an outlier at 6 feet and 5/8 inches tall,” Browns assistant GM Eliot Wolf said. “But would we be doing the right thing if we changed our board and picked a lesser player because he’s two inches taller?” I asked another draft-decider with a definite quarterback interest two questions: How many teams in the league would he guess graded Darnold higher than Mayfield. (“Twenty.”) And who did he have number one among the passers? (“Mayfield. His tape was so good, there was no comparison to the others.”) Now all we need is two years, maybe more, to see if the Browns were right.

Also, non-Browns from the same MMQB...

“It’s my job in the fourth quarter to close it.”

—LeBron James, after he banked in a running shot from a difficult angle at the buzzer to beat Toronto 105-103 Saturday night.

We are not worthy.

I watched a camp interview with Antonio Callaway, oy he does not inspire confidence AT ALL. Very soft spoken, meek personality. Doesn't look ppl in the eye when talking to them, doesn't REALLY take accountability for his actions etc... I'm not betting on him doing anything in the NFL.

Also, I feel like a person in an abusive relationship, but I still believe in Coleman. Coleman/Gordon/Landry/Njoku I think will be good enough for us to not have to count on Callawy.

Gimme a hit off that pipe, Mike....

If Josh Allen can go #7, it's not far fetched. Kizer is a superior prospect to Allen. All we know is he was good enough to go 0-16.

Kizer definitely has the physical talent and the arm but man I saw that dude throw some worm burners that made you scratch your head.

Lance Zierlein on NFL.com had Kizer at a 5.8 graded prospect and Allen at a 5.9. I would not agree that .1 is significant.

Brugler's (way too early) 2019 mock draft....surprisingly the Browns aren't picking #1 (sorry Justin). Damn I'd like to see Bosa in Brown & Orange....

It's funny because it seems like on any given year a position group is stacked. This year, QB's, CB's and RB's were plentiful while edge rushers and WR's were thin. Next year's D-Line class is stacked. Would be nice to know that the Browns have their future QB so they could start filling in the rest of the pieces.

Ive heard some analysts say Clemsons D-Line is amazing in college, but dont think they stack up well for NFL. I hadnt heard anything like that until this years draft.

So much D line talent in next year's draft.  We may have passed on Chubb, but will have plenty of options next year.

LOL...ESPN all over the place, as usual. Kiper thinks they can go 8-8, they are listed as a team that can be a "surprise/sleeper' Wild Card team yet the same guys have them listed at 31 in their power rankings.

Rob Rang's early 2019 mock. Wouldn't mind this one at all even though I don't think he drops that far....

I did get a good laugh out of ESPN’s front page headline “the browns are sneaky contenders for a playoff birth!”and then every other article trashes on the browns.

I guess if any sports league you can go from terrible to playoffs, it’s the NFL...
