Hmmmm....sounds like Josh Allen, minus the weak arm.

posted by ppaw1999Fair enough. I think a 6th round pick would be worth a shot on JT. Not a big investment and anyone you draft in the 6th round is going to be a project.
If you needed a professional in the QB room I could see it. A 3rd stringer that won't be a POS and help mentor a young kid/show how to prepapre wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.
Thank god dumbass Colin Cowherd isn't the Browns GM. In his "dream" mock, the Browns trade down, from #1, to the Patriots (#23) who take Darnold. Talk about a fan base imploding. Dorsey would be the new Eric Mangini.
Cowherd is the man. You took that bit way too seriously.

Hard disagree on the bolded, but you're right. That mock was more of a "dream" mock in the sense of what Colin would love to see happen as a fan. FWIW in his "realistic" mock, the Browns are taking Darnold #1.
I love Cowherd. I think doing a daily show gets all these guys caught between there own self. He does solid research on topics he likes and usually has pretty strong backing with numbers. If he was weekly, I think a lot more people would like him.
I like that he doesn’t hide from the fact he is a personality, and in that role, he has to cater to big markets and big stories...so he openly roots for it.
Getting really worried about the amount of Allen rumors from people who are usually legit. Either they're leaking it on purpose or really leaning that way, would be fucking terrible.

Let me rephrase, people who usually don't make up shit are hearing things. Not that the people leaking this info aren't making shit up. It seems like today everyone has heard the same rumor from "inside the org". I don't remember the couple guys I saw today mention it on twitter

Here's the thing about the rumors. The Browns don't need to be coy or send smokescreens....they have the NUMBER ONE friggin' pick in the draft so if stuff is leaking, it's very possible it's true. That's what scares me the most.
holy shit—MJD on NFL Network has the Browns taking Barkley at 1 & Chubb at 4...talk about burning a city down! lol

Better than Allen + Barkley

Also Lamar Jackson as their QB at #32 in a trade up with the Eagles.
I would snap.

If they select Josh Allen at #1, after all of the good it seems that Dorsey has done, I think about 95% of the fan base would snap.

Would still take that over no QB at all. At least then we’d have more than a 0% chance of landing a franchise QB.

Yeah, I guess that would up it to a 2% chance they got their franchise guy in Allen.

Lol exactly

I don't think i would hate that at all....but really, they have to get their QB at 1. No "best of the rest" pick for the franchise qb. And I am guessing that Jackson isn't number 1 on their board.
