Gonna be a shit ton of food scraps in that beard.
posted by IliketurtlesSo much insane stuff has happened. But of course the Cowboys haven't done much of anything and aren't interested in any of the big name FAs that are actual needs for the team.
Saw something crazy with Gurley going to Atlanta that 10 out of the 11 projected offensive starters were 1st round picks.
And Atlanta will still be lucky to go 8-8.

Probably they shouldn't have gotten rid of Sark as the OC. Dirk Koetter is terrible. As long as Matt Ryan and Julio continue to do well yards/receptions wise (Julio could start getting more TDs though) I will be happy.

Heard one of Pittsburgh's radio guys (on the local CLE station) say that the "smart" move would be for the Steelers to make a run at Crab Legs Winston and give Roethlisberger the boot. Would likely not happen due to Fat Boy's legacy but this guy said that Pittsburgh is set up for a playoff tun in 2020 and the biggest question mark is QB. Implied Roethlisberger, by his looks, has been in quarantine much longer than anyone else and believes he's more likely to have Doritos stashed in his hand muff warmer than the play call list.

That’s easy talk radio. I don’t trust 30 interception Winston to mesh in very well for more than a 9-7 type thing. I will give Ben one last chance to be average and make some plays and maybe catch some fire. I still don’t have big hopes but putting $30 million on Winston is a no.
If you've seen other pictures/videos of Ben, he doesn't look anything like the "fat slob" that was bundled up in baggy, winter clothes on the sidelines back in December. He's got a horrible beard, but he's probably in better shape this time of year than he has been in some previous years.
And he just said he's throwing pain-free for the first time in years. He's going to be good this year.

I don’t look at a lot of Ben pics. I trust he’ll be pain free and healthy....I worry of his ability to get away, stay healthy an he’s been throwing bad interceptions in big moments the last couple years. If he can minimize the turnovers he’ll be plenty good.
Carolina signs the best player from the XFL, PJ Walker, the QB from Houston. Apparently he has a connection with Matt Rhule, I think he played for him in college.

We will see if he still throws a lot of picks now that he does not 'have' to force it to AB.
Looked it up and in 2018, BR and AB hooked up for 15 TDs, but 11 of his 16 ints came when he was throwing to AB. He forced a lot of balls to AB, whehter it was pressure to keep him happy but I think mostly because AB was an amazing talent and BR went his way because AB made plays.

And.....Cam Newton is just released. Couldn't find any takers in a trade.
posted by friendfromlowryNobody to the Bengals, per usual.
Things obviously change as Ebenezer Scrooge Brown has opened up his wallet and made some surprisingly solid moves with the most recent being the Vonn Bell signing today. Must want to impress Joe Burrow?
Also find it interesting that QB's like Cam Newton, Jameis Winston, Andy Dalton & Joe Flacco are still available. Excluding Flacco, any one of the first three would be considered the #1 QB in free agency in a normal year. It's just crazy all of the QB's that were available or moved this offseason.
Jameis is going to be real good if he ever cuts down on his INTs. Stunned nobody is taking a chance on him.

I keep hearing that Pittsburgh would be the ideal landing spot. Frankly, I'm surprised the Jags are putting all their eggs in Minshew's basket. Cam might be a solid fit there. I also didn't think the Hoodie would want to drop off to a 4-5 win team (maybe tanking, I know Hoodie doesn't tank, for Trevor Lawrence?) but apparently they like Stidham plus they are kind of in cap Hell. Thought Dalton might be plug & play in NE.

PItt does need a backup QB, but the price tag would be too high for those QBS.
They will have to wait to see what QB gets a bit too antsy and just wants to sign some place. None of them, sans FLacco, will go any place where they dont at least get told they will compete for a spot, until the writing is on the wall later inthe FA season.

Right now it's QB musical chairs and the QB's available are without seats. Guys like Jameis are going to have to take 1-2 year deals and I'd imagine at deep discounts.
Imagine leading the league in passing yards with 30 TDs to go along with it...and not getting a roster spot.

Just depend on how much pride he wants to swallow with contract demands.
Didnt get to watch him much but apparently he has the tools, jsut needs to be smarter with the ball.
We see this a lot though, a big flurry when FA opens and then a dead period for a bit.
Just heard that Miami plans on going all in, trying to trade up to #1 with the Bengals.
Also saw where Cincy released Dre Kirkpatrick.
