Senzel sent to the minors...Ervin as well.

Michael Lorenzen slated as 5th OF and 7th inning relief pitcher smh

Senzel getting the Kris Bryant treatment. Ervin tore up spring training. I’m calling Lorenzen a novelty, we’ll see

Old Roark has been impressive this Spring:

2.29 ERA

20 K's in 19 1/3 innings

Good get.

.......... I will be closely following this Lorenzen doing the Ohtani thing!

Im typically a fan of such things but to have Senzel ready and Ervin lit up ST...I do t like it at all. His pitching is not comfortable a lot of the times. His arms look good in his smedium jersey....maybe he can be an NFL white hat official

To me he’s more concerned with his arms in his uniform than his pitch location. I think that he’s borderline too buff for a pitcher in the upper arm/shoulder area. I think it’s affected his location and he’s not the relief pitcher he was.

Got it.

I'm thinking then that "smedium" is a reference to small-medium and squeezing it to look good?

But I don't get the NFL "white hat" reference.

Lol yes....jersey way too small and the white hat is the head official that gets the tv time on all the calls

Senzel’s agent not happy he is starting the year in the minors. Not good, when it comes time to re-up his contract you can pretty much kiss him goodbye in Cincinnati. Pretty sure that’s gojng to happen to the cubbies with Bryant.

I get being frugal as an organization, but come on. He’s a .300 hitter. Just start the fucking guy already and rework his contract later.

I can understand the Reds starting him in the minors. He played only 44 games last season and is learning a new position. I'm usually annoyed by obvious service time manipulation, but I'm no so sure this is a case of that. He had a nice spring, but I don't think a few more weeks of work in the minors is incredible unreasonable.

This is 100% service time manipulation.

Just play the best. No Scooter and Senzel is obvious to be in majors.

Iglesias and Peraza is a bunch of punch and judy hitting and not guys who get on base well

Well, you're in the front office so I'll take your word for it. Whether it is or not, it's a reasonable decision for the Reds. Schebler had a better spring and will start in CF.

You don't have to be in the front office to see what an organization is doing

Had he set the world on fire this spring I might agree with you. But a guy with a .768 OPS getting sent down to the minors for a while isn't going to bother me too much. Schebler had a better spring and has CF experience at the MLB level.

He's going to spend 16 games in the minor leagues, and be called up..and you'll still think this was because Schebler out-played him in spring training...

Sure.

I'm absolutely positive the Reds are happy that Senzel didn't force their hand. But that doesn't make this an egregious case, IMO. They had plenty of reasoning to give him more time in the minors. In the end, I don't really care, and this back and forth is a waste of time.

Senzel injured his ankle sliding into 2nd yesterday. So that's fun.

Gonna make it to Opening Day for the first time in a while. My boss sold me two tickets for the face value of one.
