Watched Black Widow last night (first movie back in a theatre)

Solid 8.5/10  It had some really good fight scenes, and had a Captain America: Winter Solider feel to it, but with a little more humor. Natasha's sister, Yelena, was the absolute star of the movie.

Black Widow 6/10

I didn’t know a lot about her back story, so maybe that’s why I didn’t like it very much.

Black Widow: 7/10. In the theaters, it was great to have a Marvel movie back. I liked most of it, just not the third act. It should have stayed more grounded, literally. I liked it more when it was a Jason Bourne, Treadstone/ Black Briar story.

No Sudden Move: 9/10. I am a sucker for 50s and 60s style movies. Great cast, good story and it is Soderbergh.

Forever Purge 2/10

The purge movies just keep getting worse.

The House With Laughing Windows -- pretty awesome mid-70s Italian movie. Giallo to a degree, but also played with gothic horror with dilapidated buildings and a plot involving an artist working to restore a painting by an artist who was fixated on death. The typical bits of "nothing makes sense" involved with the plot, but the direction was great and I found it entertaining.

The Tomorrow War - 7/10

It was entertaining but some of the plot holes were pretty bad. The overall story was very good.

I was getting into it and about 75% through the movie would have given it an 8/10.

The last act really ruined it, 5.5/10 overall

Yeah the last twenty minutes crossed the line into really corny. I still enjoyed it and would go 8/10. I thought they nailed the casting of J.K. Simmons and Sam Richardson.   Yvonne Strahovski (had to look up her actual name to avoid giving spoilers here) wasn’t bad to look at either.

Exactly this. The last act was completely unnecessary. Also, I love subtle preaching about climate change.

Black Widow had the biggest econd week drop off of any MCU movie, ever.

I wonder how much of that has to do with Disney+. I mean, they raked in $60M last week from Disney+ purchases alone. Those people have it forever. That was ~25%-30% of the gross from opening weekends $215M

I liked learning of the origin of the white spikes, but the execution wasn't very good.

Also lol'd at the "big gun, small penis" joke.

Started No Sudden Moves last night and I was distracted for the first 30 min. Then I really paid attention and it started to grow on me. I’ll finish tonight but probably have to rewatch. Cause I thought it was slow and bad the first 45-60, then the last 30 I watched I liked. Have maybe 20-30 left
