I think everyone gets that.  It's not some great insight (not you, I mean QT) or even that original as a story line goes. IMO, entirely uncompelling.  Watching Dalton work his craft wasn't necessary to the story, and all it really served was to drag the movie out another 20 minutes. I guess if QT had made office space, we would have gotten 20 minutes watching Kevin fill out TPS reports.

The best scene may have been Leo in his trailer after sucking it up on set.

Anyway, you two are in the minority, crazy and don’t appreciate great cinema!!! Lol

9/10 Ford vs. Ferrari

Damon, especially, just put on a terrific performance.  But the acting all around was generally great.

I know it was nominated, but I still didn't expect it to be so exciting and gripping, even despite knowing generally of the story.

I've wondered several times if the reason I actually liked it was that I came in with such low expectations (not without precedent for DC movies), but either way, I did enjoy it.  Not sure I'd watch it again.  Might have to be in the mood.

If you think about it, the only truly good DCEU movie so far has been Wonder Woman (was actually great). Ok, Aquaman wasn't too bad either, I would put it in the "good" category.

BvS sucked.

Justice League's plot look like it was thrown together in 5 minutes to compete with the Avengers' movies.

Man of Steel was ok at best.

Suicide Squad was a great idea, poorly put together.

I get what you are saying, with as terrible as DC has been recently (other than WW the last truly great DC movie was the Dark Knight Trilogy), going in assuming the worst, etc.

Bye Bye Man with my daughter. Quite trash. Even she thought it was stupid. 2/10

While I didn’t think it was very good, Joker was just up for Best Picture...

I forgot about Joker, I actually thought it was pretty good.

I maybe on the O-trap problem though, I went in assuming the Joker was going to be bad (DCEU plus bad initial critic reviews).

Birds of Prey - I couldn't get into it at all. Ewan McGregor was the only part that was decent to me. Harley was much better in Suicide Squad.

I'm slow to watch movies, but watched these 3 over the weekend.

The Farewell: 9/10. Pretty damn good movie about dealing with loss and death. Hit my wife hard who was extremely close with her grandma during her last days.

Midsommar: 6/10. It was fine. But, I felt like it was a late 90s, early 2000s retread about 4 young people making a trip somewhere and the female makes it out.

Miracle. 8/10. Watched it over the weekend since it is the 40 year mark of the team. Kurt Russel is fantastic.
