Well, Kluber and Lee didn’t choke. Only CC and thru 1 start Bieber.

Kluber was solid in 2016. In 2017 and 2018, he was 0-2 with an ERA of 10.64 in 3 starts.

Why do we keep developing cy young talent only for them to choke in the playoffs smh?

This is the Kluber I was thinking about,  but he definitely delivered in 16’ (except for game 7).

Are we really going to blame Kluber for getting drilled by the Astros when all indications and data point to them knowing the pitches? Obviously, they cheated that game. But his K rate, whiff rate and their take percentage were ridiculous. It wasn’t him. Same for Carrasco...everything that game vs the regular season was eye-popping.

Vs Yankees he had a back issue that needed medical attention. Indians/Kluber choose to keep that quite until season was over.

I actually think Bieber was tipping his pitches last night. Yankees were taking ridiculously good pitches and drilling anything straight/in the zone. It wasn’t a bad outing...it was a complete outlier from 2 seasons worth of data on him.

Sandy watched Tito too closely with Miller. Karinchak ain’t Miller, and that was an awful decision. DeShields has to make that play. But you can’t bring Karinchak in there. Someone like Perez would’ve been perfect. Concede the run, but try and get them to make weak contact.
