Great stuff.  Have you ever tried Saw's Juke Joint?

I have not. Might give it a try sometime though.

In Richmond Indiana recently we ate at Firehouse BBQ and Blues before seeing comedian Haywood Banks, who is hilarious.

It is in an old firehouse.  BBQ ribs were fantastic as was  a pulled pork sandwich with mac and cheese on it.

Fantastic old building and was a really cool place. They also have blues acts and it had started when were were there and it was very entertaining.

Not that there is any reason to go to Richmond, but if you find yourself in the area hit up Firehouse BBQ and Blues

Ate at a tiny place called Rick's White Light Diner in Frankfort, KY on Saturday. It was featured on Diners, Drive-in's, and Dive's at some point. Really cool little spot.

Lola's Hanger steak is excellent as well as their Pork Chop.

Went to the Casino in Dayton last night and then to Clancy's Tavern.  Warned it would be 90 min for food, but we stuck around.   PRime rib was exceptionally good, and had some leftovers this morning.\Goood stuff

What exactly are you looking for? Those places aren’t really near the downtown area, but there is a Giordanos (not the original) nearby.

Oh, you’re way far south. That’s McCormick Place. I’ve never really been, but it’s a huge business area so I’m sure they have a ton of restaurants in the area.

For pizza though, I’d make the trip into heart of downtown for Lou Malnatis or Giordanos. But personal favorite, and best in city for Chicago style is Pequod's Pizza. But it’s further north.

Thanks, they each have a location within walking distance of the hotel

Lou's is better, IMO.

Agree for most part. But if you go deep dish (I never do, unless a friend wants to try) I prefer Giordanos. The thin crust and other menu options (Lou’s salad is great) are all better.

Mad Dogs Beer and Dogs:   https://www.maddogsandbeer.com/?fbclid=IwAR1q28AxDyDuZukMcNfyWDOGGqJT8kEhgdsk-ig3C_klt9I9pbNQDSa8uFs

If you find yourself in the area of Marysville you need to check out Mad Dogs.  Buddy opened this less than a week before the Government shut down the state but they are surviving.

Made my first trip last night and man, their dogs are amazing.  We got the peanut butter and jelly, and the one with hot cheetos on it.

TOP NOTCH!

The barrell tater tots, never had anything like them and man they were amazing.  He even whipped up his brussels sprouts specialty.

Yea, brussell sprouts.  Tell you waht, that shit was legit and a must try.

Would give them an 8/8.  It is also a fantastic beer bar.  Looks fantastic inside.

Give it a try if you are in the area!
