I’ve heard most of the list, probably have used Bejezus, lollygagging, gallivanting, shenanigans, the fuzz.

The Fuzz always cracks me up. At my house, it was always “Davenport”, too.

This brings back memories of my farming ancestors who ate their biggest meal of the day at lunch and thus it was "dinner".

Yes, this is true.  The largest meal of the day post breakfast, for those who eat it, is called dinner.  If the large meal, is eaten in the afternoon, the second meal is call supper.  If the larger meal is later in the evening, the afternoon meal is lunch.

I battle with this description to this day.  I will say “tennis shoes” and realize that nobody knows what I am talking about. Then I change it to “walking shoes” and all is good.
