Oh so science is going to magically change on June 2.  Whatever.  I am not a sheep like 95% of our  country.   I dont wear a mask because I am not stupid.  

When you believe 95% of the people around you are stupid or are sheep, it is 100% certain that you are the dumbest son of a bitch in the room (generally by a long margin too).

You're the guy who went w/o a sense of taste for some time because you got the 'rona while regularly spouting off about how it's nothing to worry about and you're not a sheep.

I honestly believe that if Trump has said from the beginning, "just wear a mask, and we'll get through this as soon as we can", he would have gotten reelected.

But it's so much fun to watch him say he's not a sheep because he doesn't wear a mask, when he's coming off like a sheep because the reason he doesn't wear one involves the people he politically worships making that a talking point.

The comments to the tweet below with people still living in complete fear is astonishing. But about time the guidance is starting to relax. And Spock does sound dumb, but it’s also anti-science to wear a mask outside. So it works both ways. 

My workplace is not mandating masks in communal areas starting next week, after the governor said no cities can have their own mask mandates anymore (never a statewide one in SC). I think the whole office is also vaccinated.

Flip side, people vaccinated are thinking long term about their health and are smart. People not vaccinated are dumb and not thinking about their health...so maybe this is a perfect inticement to get them to do it lol

Agreed. He’s probably the only person dumb enough to not rally a nation behind a common goal, instead dividing them further to the point we saw in November.

Yep, decades of mask wearing just for fun. They definitely don’t work. Or they did, but once they became political — they stopped working? It’s hard to keep it straight.

I mean, I have an air fryer, potato cutter, spices and even a few potatoes, so gotta do a bit better than that, dude! Sure, I paid for all of that, so it's not free, but I also don't have to go to a place to pick up the fries, so that evens out.

To be fair, my wife is an avid mask wearer through most of the pandemic as she works in/out of nursing homes and was scared to take it back to them.

She still got COVID hard from a nursing home even though she was 100% of the time in mask and gloves while there.

She got it right at the height of the first wave last year in late April.

To be fair, I believe dentists/surgeons wear masks when they have an "open" patient (dentist-mouth) is the same reason they scrub the crap out of their hands. 

Bacteria.

From the research I have seen, masks are great at stopping bacteria, not so great at stopping viruses, just too small.

I am willing to be wrong though. I mean the CDC and Fauci said so at the beginning of the pandemic, that masks were useless against viruses, then they changed their tune not based on science, but based on political pressure.
