We have a standby backup generator, so lack of power won't be a problem.  We have two garage doors, so if the motor on one opener craps out, we have the other.

I hope someone builds a brick wall in front of both doors. Now what're you gonna do?

This does remind me that I got a low battery warning on my fob the other day.

I got one on the one I have for my wife's car.  How much is this going to run? (Jeep Grand Cherokee)

I can get a 4-pack of Amazon Basic batteries for mine for like $5.

Phew.  My first key fob battery replacement.  I was dreading something entirely different.

They should just take the large watch battery types.  You can get them at the drug store.

I can’t believe how many people don’t lock every door to their house when not home. Hacking a garage door signal is super easy.

But thanks for answering my question!

Same here, don't have a key to the house, probably should in foresight in case of power outage and garage door won't open

My key pad opener runs on a 9 volt battery, so I keep a spare in the vehicle.  Also we have a home security system always on when away or in bed.

Roughly 9 keys for the house and various boxes and my truck, and a fob for my wife's car.
