It made me laugh... if I was looking at it correctly.  Did he stagger some molding to make it look "right?"  Are you happy with the "fix"?

Given the drastic slope, yes, we think it looks better than any alternative.

Progress has been slow the last two weeks, but they are almost done with the basement.

Anyone ever apply any sort of concrete floor coating, epoxy or other, in their garage?

I used to do concrete work.  Be cAreful in the garage.  You start coating concrete it becomes ice when wet.

What are you trying to do?  Make a old floor look new?  Seal a already nice floor?

I've done epoxy, very easy to apply.

I just sealed my 1 year old driveway...looks like hell but it’s doing it’s job and bleaching back to match the sidewalks

I just finished the framing and electric in basement.  Black out ceiling this weekend and then drywall

Make an old shitty concrete floor look better. Here is a preview of what most of the concrete looks like.

i guess powerwash the crap out of it at first.  My guess is that if you want it to look good you need to rent a grinder.

How about Nature Stoning that baby?  They seem to get pretty good reviews on the BBB website.  A bit pricey, though.  I saw one person get a quote of $4200 to do a 21'x20' garage floor.

I guess my husband and I are starting our kitchen reno this month. 😩 We picked out some tile last night.

Yes, I've already read that it needs to be pressure washed first. I'll probably just do that and call it a day as I'm not looking to spend a ton of money on it. I might end up going the garage tile route, but even that would cost $1500+.

That’s cool, but pricey. I don’t want Justin charging $12 a month

Wonder how much it would cost, or the effort it would take, to just do a skim coating of concrete just to smooth it out a bit.

Also want to put up sheets of OSB for walls, not sure if it's worth insulating before that or not.

Since we moved into our house during Memorial Day weekend this year, we have been compiling a list (mentally) of what we want to do. Just waiting it out and seeing what rises to the top.

Hopefully, the first project could be done by the end of the year. I think it's all set and ready, but I don't know really. The half-bath in the bottom floor will get a shower installed. It seems to me all the plumbing is there, just need to figure out the best configuration for the shower. I have a cousin that may end up putting it in for us. We'll see.
