I haven't followed golf too carefully this year.  But the story of Bryson DeChambeau is interesting.  Somewhere in the last 6-9 months, the guy has gained around 40-50 pounds, a lot of which is muscle.  He's hitting the ball further than anyone on tour and seems to be continuing to grow as the season progresses.

I'm not a trainer or a medical professional.  But that sure seems like a remarkable change from simply hitting the weights and drinking a lot of protein shakes.  I just wonder if he may have accidently dipped his hand into Barry Bonds muscle cream jar and gotten a jolt.  What say  you?

Brooks thinks so.

I personally think he just decided he had to be the best driver of the ball on tour and set out to do it. He said he was going to a little over a year ago, even took some time off, and is now the best off the tee in golf.

Crazy he thought he needed to do that, since he was winning at a solid clip — and big tournaments at that — before. But he’s had crazy results since the return, so maybe it was the right move.

He said along with his high calorie/protein diet he consumes 6-7 protein shakes a day.

He may throw a roid rage fit on a course rules expert/official sooner than later.

His practice round they said he takes down a shake every 3-4 holes.

Yeah I forget who was interviewing him (maybe MLB Network even) but he talked all about it. 6-7 along with a lot of other foods...sounds unsafe

His breakfast alone would kill most.

They really do not like each other.  I don't think it's steroids.  Just looks like a guy that increased his caloric intake and lifted a lot.

Guzzling protein shakes and eating 7000 calories a day doesnt make you diesel.   If he isnt lifting, he is juicing.

I don’t like Bryson because he plays slow. Nor do I like JB Holmes because he makes Bryson look like Usain Bolt.

I like him talking about playing slow to get his group on the clock so that they would have to play at his pace.
