Anyone have an Xbox One?

I am specifically looking at the Xbone X, it's currently available for $299 bundle with a game, and there are several games to choose from. We babysat my niece and nephew last weekend, and he and I played a couple games of Madden on his Xbone S. I enjoyed it, and am intrigued by the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order game that is available in one of the sale bundles. I also think it would be fun to get my nephew an Xbox live subscription so we could play Madden online.

For those that own an Xbone, has it held your interest long term? My only worry is buying it and getting bored after a couple months.

That's a good price.

New consoles are out in the fall. It will depend if whoever you want to play with decides to upgrade or not, or will you be interested in games that will only be out on the new gen. Haven't looked into it much, so I don't know if the new one will have exclusives.

I've been gaming on and off for as long as I can remember, so it always keeps my interest. During the winter, it's on. As soon as it warms up, I'll rarely touch it.

I'm not terribly worried about having the latest console. I have a Switch, but haven't owned any other type of console for close to a decade now. I'm also not worried about my nephew getting a new system anytime soon.

That's a good point about the weather. I likely wouldn't play much in the warmer months, so should I just wait it out until fall and see if the X drops any further...

I'd say Borderlands 2 is my favorite of the series. About the only complaint I had with it was that I found myself burnt out by the time I tackled the last couple DLC, which made how damn tough so many of the enemies in the Tiny Tina AD&D game one were a real bitch. Yeah, man, it's reeeeaaaaalllll cool how you make it so some orcs can auto-level up so that killing them turns into 10 minutes of hit-n-run where I'm super-happy I'm playing with Gaige so I can focus on the "run" part while calling up her robot-buddy to handle the "hitting".

FunFact! On a cheap pack of mainly low-budget horror-type movies, there's a dark comedy called How to Be a Serial Killer, which stars the guy who did the voice-acting for Handsome Jack. There were times when it legit seemed like it was Jack narrating parts of it, which really made it even funnier for me.

For the topic, for this generation of systems, I got a PS4 instead of the XBone, although with the exception of a handful of exclusives, they're not all that different, at least for games. One thing that's really amazing about systems nowadays, which is something you might want to look into or consider, is how much content you can get for cheap via streaming and such. With the PS4, I joined PS Now, so for $59.99 per year, I get access to 700-800 games to either stream or download from mainly the PS3 and 4 library. And I know XBox has their own streaming service. It's to the point where you could buy a system and 1-2 games you really want and then live off that $59 subscription for forever or so.

I'm tempted to try PS Now. My friend raves about it. I never really stray and try new games.

Current addiction is COD. I can't stop. First time ever playing a COD.

The Golf Club 2019 is awesome, if you’re into that type of thing. The series is the most realistic golf games there have been. Not the arcade, gimmicky Tiger games of the past.

I loved Tiger Woods back in college, I kinda wish that series was still around. I'll check out the Golf Club.

Anyone with the game pass should check out Super Mega Baseball 2. Fun arcade baseball game that helps pass the time. The third one comes out next month.

Just bought Red Dead Redemption II for $30, it's downloading now. Looking forward to playing that one.

I'd been playing Madden 20 with my free trial of EA Access. Both the game and EA Access service suck a big one. Just terrible.

I also tried some Doom game on All Access, not sure if it was the one mentioned in the locked in thread or not, but I couldn't get past one of the first grouping of enemies in the game.
