Twitter definitely does not ban the 2 political sides eaually. Farrakhan can spout anti Semitic things yet you can’t say a tranny with a dick is a man. Private company so they can do what they want, but it is clearly targeting conservatives. Jesse Kelly got suspended the other day for nothing and he’s pretty tame (and pretty funny).

I don't disagree.  The "true believers" don't see it as hate speech when they agree with what is being said, or who is saying it.  I don't think Google or Facebook intend to censor anyone unnecessarily or unjustifiably, because money.  But that doesn't apply to the peons who actually put in the work, so from their perspective they're making the world a better place.

Speaking of anti-semitism, I just learned the other day that all the Soros conspiracies are rooted in anti-semitism.  I had no idea, I just assumed it might be because, you know, he's a communist pushing his agenda.  But when the left criticizes and promotes theories about Sheldon Adelson, who also is Jewish, that's not anti-semitism?

You haven't learned by now that anyone that idenitfies themselves with the left can't be racist/prejudice/sexist/etc?

I know quite a few people like this personally and it's quite hilarious/sad.

Trump increased internet commerce right after he lowered gas prices.  His next feat will be to leap tall buildings in a single bound.

I mention Trump because the reason QO posts these snippets of economic news on here is to suggest they are a direct result of Trump's actions.  That is the economic worldview of a child.

Actually I post the statistics as evidence that there is a real difference between the policies of one party versus the other, with real life economic impacts and outcomes resulting therefrom..

Take care.

The economy was growing before Trump got into office.  How does that reconcile with your belief?

Dow down 800 points. Four largest dips in US history came during trump’s presidency.

Chance we can [really] believe in

truly a free roll now for trump next two years with the dems winning the house. If the economy does well he can take credit, if it tanks he can blame the dems! Win win situation

I wouldn't call that a "free roll," but unless you have just started following politics in the last 18 months, you would know this has been done by every president in the history of US politics.  Welcome to US Politics 101.

I'm currently reading Fear: Trump in the White House. Interesting book so far, I'm about halfway through. Anyone else read it yet?

That is true however the last 18 mos the gop had the majority in both houses, now that isn’t the case so it changes the narrative significantly as pointed out by quakers response. Dems have had the house for two weeks and have crashed the economy apparently.

I read it.  I thought it was good for awhile, but once I finished, I was a kind of "meh" toward it.  I'm no fan of Trump.  But I think any president or leader can be made to look bad by quoting conversations that - even if they happened as worded - take place in a larger context that a book cannot capture.

I'm a little cynical about Bob Woodword.  I have a lot of respect for what he did with Watergate.  But he seems a little bit like a guy that has been trying to recapture that magic ever since.  Trump's an obvious opportunity for a lot of reasons.

The book didn't really do anything to affect my opinion of Trump either way.

Let me know your opinion when you are finished.

I think it's been pretty fair so far. I assumed it would be a hit piece on Trump, but I haven't got that from it as of yet.

EPA To Roll Back Obama-Era Restriction On New Coal-Burning Plants.

The New York Times (12/4, Friedman) reports that the Environmental Protection Agency is announce on Thursday a plan “to roll back a significant climate change regulation on coal-fired power plants, making it easier to build new coal plants in the United States.” The proposal will throw out “Obama-era restrictions on newly built coal plants that in effect required them to include systems to capture the carbon dioxide they produced – a technology that is still not in use on a commercial scale.” According to the Times, “the replacement measure eases those constraints, sending a powerful signal to the coal industry, as well as to other countries struggling with the political difficulties of addressing climate change, that the United States is trying to pave the way for coal-burning plants.”

Job Openings At U.S. Factories Surge To All-Time High.

Bloomberg News (12/10, Tanzi) reports that job openings “have surged at US manufacturers of durable goods from machinery to cars in recent months, suggesting factories have plenty of demand despite recent tariff obstacles.” The job openings rate for the durable-goods manufacturing industry “reached 4 percent in October, a record in data back to 2000, according to figures issued Monday by the Labor Department. That’s up from 3.7 percent in September and 3.1 percent a year earlier.”

In a blog post for Shopfloor (12/10) NAM Chief Economist Dr. Chad Moutray noted the job openings in the sector had reached an all-time high of 522,000....

Not sure why Pelosi and Shumer took the bait today on the WH meeting.  At one point Shumer asked to continue in a private meeting because trump was killing him.  I cant believe the dems think that those 2 are good for them.

Could you be more specific?  I didn't see the whole thing.  I don't see anyone anywhere describing this scenario you allege. Are you referring to trump repeatedly saying he will shut down the gov't if we don't fund a wall that he said mexico would pay for over and over?  Im confused.

Watch the whole meeting.  It is clear that they dont want to admit they want the wall.
