So where does that leave Rahm, and the other liberal gun restrictors ruling Chi-town.

I said what I said.

so, I guess that the show Roseanne is cancelled now. Apparently she said (paraphrasing) that Valerie Jarrett looks like the result of Planet of the Apes and Muslim Brotherhood.

I don't watch her show and I highly doubt her bank account will suffer much. However, considering some of the vile things that lefty actors/actresses have said and got applause for freedom of speech, this is hypocrisy at its most obvious.

Roseanne is not even a conservative so I think it's funny she finally had repercussions for her words. She has said "offensive" things for years, but once she pretended to be on Trump's side it was all over for her. Far more offensive being "Anyone who eats Shit Fil-A deserves to get the cancer that is sure to come from eating antibiotic filled tortured chickens 4Christ,” the comedienne tweeted Wednesday.

In liberal la-la land, something is only offensive and intolerable when they disagree with you....

I'm curious what will happen to the CNN contributor who tweeted a link about Trump running a child sex ring.  That's freaking pizzagate - they can't even come up with original conspiracies.

Meh.  Station doing what it believes is in its best interest.  Nothing to see here.

I would agree for the most part, but how is this consistent with their "image"?  ESPN in same family with Disney. It's hard to explain but I don't like Roseanne, don't care about her show, but if you're going to make rules that offensive speech is not tolerated, how do you pick and choose who you fire/ hire?

I rarely disagree with what you say on here, but you do realize that every time something negative comes out about Trump or a Trump supporter, you immediately point out something negative about a democrat/liberal? Kinda reminds me when people would bash Obama, and Obama supporters would instantly bash Bush..

LOL, Trump Jr retweeted Roseanne's 2 tweets about Soros.  That guy really is a dumbass.

I bring up the hypocrisy that I see. Roseanne isn’t a trump supporter, she’s an anti Christian, democrat. I think this situation makes sense to bring up bc ESPN/ Disney literally just hired a guy who spews the f word at the President (won’t even go into the other dumb asses they have employed) but want to act high and mighty about some other person. I don’t like Roseanne or give a shit that she’s fired, I hate the Twitter mob and I really hate the elitists and the media.

i do agree that I bring that shit up a lot showing the hypocrisy (mainly from twitter), and probably moreso now that I have a lot of free time on my hands w/ a baby. Lol lot of downtime and my wife has been watching Greys from season one, so there you go.

Her tweets as opposed to olbermans were more likely to cost them money which as I understand it from my readings on this board gives a business the right to terminate someone. It’s funny to see people say kaep or Eric Reid have the right to free speech but shouldn’t bitch if they lose their  job, then turn around and cry when rosanne gets fired. Especially given the fact that they silently protested, didn’t disrespect the flag or the military and she actually made very racist comments.

Not sure if directed at me but I fully back a Company in firing whoever they want and for any reason they seem fit. I don’t think anyone defended her getting fired that I saw, I’m sure some twitter bozos did though. It’s the virtue signaling that does it for me.

virtue signaling by abc? I just think they didn’t want a boycott or lose money. No different than the fake patriotism by nfl. I don’t think they care about the flag, military or patriotism. They just don’t want to lose money. I didn’t google virtue signaling but I think I am understanding what you are try to say but maybe not.

You need to reread Kaep's comments.

Nobody is crying for Roseanne.

Virtue signaling = Starbucks closing for 3 hours today.

I mostly meant they hired a loony woman with a history of offensive statements and tweets pointed at both sides of the aisle, and then fire her when she’s offensive again, all while not minding other offensive tweets from their employees.

I suppose u can hang onto the Castro comment or the pig socks to discredit the overall message it’s an easy way to deflect from an obvious issue in this country. Eric Reid made no such comments. So take kaep out of the convo my point still stands. They don’t care about the flag or patriotism. They aren’t keeping him out of the league for his comments. The nfl abc situations seem identical to me. They aren’t kicking out other employees or wife beaters etc. this new flag policy is the equivalent of closing Starbucks for three hours

If Kaep could play, he would be in the NFL, period.  Everyone leaves out that part that he sucks ass and isn't worth the drama as a backup.

Yeah he specifically mentioned the flag when this bullshit started.

Reid and Kaep are both not playing for a reason. They're not that good.

Leaving kaep out if it even tho it has been thoroughly debunked at this point that it wasn’t his talent keeping him out. What about Eric Reid? He not talented? Either way I really dont want to rehash this it’s old news. I really don’t think any players would have sat this year. Not sure now. My point was that the nfl and abc are no different. All about the bottom line. Trump fired up his base and convinced them even tho he is a draft dodger that he loves the military and kaep doesn’t and they did the rest. No different than twitter going after rosanne although I would say most sane people would agree her tweets were offensive

No, it has not been thoroughly debunked that talent was keeping Kaep out.  I think a lot of people are forgetting how terrible he was.  Not to mention he allegedly turned down an offer, although that is being denied by his team. Even if Kaep was decent enough to be a back up QB,  is it worth the drama for a team to pay back up like that?  Obviously none of the teams think he is worth the hassle.  Prime example coming from the Ravens, who would have signed Kaep if it wasn't for his dumbass GF sounding off on twitter.  The ravens saw that and said fuck dealing with that for a shitty backup.  It's no different than Tebow being capable of finding a roster spot (whether it was QB or another position), but no team wanted to deal with it.

As for Eric Reid, so far he has turned down an offer from the Niners.  There is a market for him, and no doubt imo if he wants to play a team will sign him. I have a hard time believing that out of all of these NFL players who have "silently" protested are being signed or kept on their teams, yet there is this 32 team conspiracy to keep Reid and Kaep jobless.

Also, I don't really give a shit about Roseanne.  An employer should be able to make any decision they want when they think their employees are hurting their bottom line whether it's ABC, the NFL, or any other company.
