So a woman who DJs for an all black radio station (WURD) was fired after a CNN interview. Apparently the Biden administration sent her 8 pre-approved questions and when it was her turn to have air time with the president, she asked the 4 questions she had picked from the list sent to her. Later, she went on CNN and said that the questions were sent in advance. 

Well, she no longer works at that station.

I don't see why this is a fireable offense. Isn't that a common practice?  I think it is and isn't some sort of secretive ancient technique lol!

My guess is she was fired not for this nothingburger but for expressing or taking a political position that the station does not approve of.

The issue is she said something damaging about a Democrat.  Turn in your black card and, well, it's an all-black radio station...

I can’t imagine why the Dems are in opposition to proving you are a citizen to vote.

Even at that, it's just her opinion. I get that she had a big audience, but her opinion maybe persuaded something like five people, maybe. Still a nothingburger imo. Her boss could have just told her to keep her political opinions to herself from now on.

My guess would be that the station powers-that-be support Biden and looked at this as a step on his road to performance recovery after the debate debacle. So having your employee tell everyone that it was him answering pre-planned questions kind of takes away from their "it was one night/he had a cold and he's actually still sharp as a tack" plans for promoting the interview.

Kind of one of those things where people (at least some of them; lot of dummies out there) might know how things work, but you still don't pull back the curtain and remove all the plausible deniability from the situation.

So I got into a FB discussion with an old friend (20+ years) who was continuing with her ongoing complaints about the Roe v Wade SCOTUS decision and saying it was all Trump's fault. 

So I replied to her with this:

And by the way, that old friend of mine isn't a bad person. Not at all. In fact, I'd be very adept at pretending she didn't do that. But Project 2025 is her fear porn.

Facebook is a great forum for old friends to get together and express strong political opinions.  It always ends with minds changed and people parting as closer friends than they already were.

What was said that wasn’t factual information? Were there a number of times that the Ds had power in Congress and POTUS and could have made abortion a federal law?

They said many times they were going to do it….

I didnt say it wasn't factual. If her argument was if it was "ALL" trumps fault i guess that would be a fair viewpoint.  But it's like blaming the homeowner for a break in because they left the sliding glass door open and not the burglar, if that makes sense.   Trump has went many multiple times  on TV and taken credit for getting rid of Roe Vs. Wade so its seems like just a way to blame everything on the dems.  

Things can be factual but also rarely the right answer to a topic i.e. "Democrats are the Party of Slavery"  for example.  Its not something i want to argue about, i just think you could ask 100 people who got rid of Roe Vs Wade and you wouldn't get 2 answers who say the democrats.

Yes, he absolutely did, no doubt about it. And now he is playing a carefully crafted moderate role about it, basically saying safe, legal and rare. Your correct.

BUT

He only gets to do that now because Dems fucked around on it. 

Personally, I always just assumed it was a settled issue and nothing would ever change with it. I think it should be safe legal and rare. But now that SCOTUS has kicked it back to the states I'm okay with it. Activist types now have something to do.
