DP is too slow paced for me. I dont really like M&M, but they are a better listen driving into work than DP for me.

Parker gone.
I had lost all hope anyway. Always expect the worst and you'll never be disappointed.

Had hope in the back of my mind he'd come back but knew he'd likely go pro.
I don't know how Kentucky fans do this every year. I come too attached. Deng, Kyrie, and now Parker are all tough losses.

After watching Marcus Smart implode mid-season, I think its very smart for all kids to go when projected that high. Not that Parker, or others, have the kind of issues that Smart does, but not a whole lot of good can come from another season in the college. The chance at a title is about it, but the odds are so stacked against even the odds on favorite its tough to justify it.

I'm sort of surprised that Parker and Hood didn't jointly announce ala Robinson and Stauskas. It leaves the door ajar, but I'm positive Hood is gone as well. It'd be a pleasantly awesome surprise if he were not. Hood would be the perfect three man at 6-8 to complement the 6-9 Amile Jefferson at the four who lacks an outside game.

Yahoo is reporting Hood is close to signing with an agent.
I think Forde reported it

@chadfordinsider: Harrison twins were strongly leaning toward draft. Now they are considering returning to UK after NBA feedback. Should decide on Tues/Wed

Haith had Clarkson and Brown, both guys who will get drafted in the top 50, and he couldn't even make the NCAA. Only thing I can think of is he'd rather have a job with 100% security than one he could be fired at in a year.

Anyone else notice that four Butler players have transferred out of the program since February? Elijah Brown, son of Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Mike Brown, is the latest. Brown, a freshman, averaged six points and two rebounds per game for the Bulldogs. He joins fellow freshman Nolan Berry as the latest Bulldog to transfer.
Berry could be a nice pickup for someone. One of Brad Stevens' biggest recruits, the 6-10 forward, who's been touted a more skilled and better shooting version of Matt Howard, was a Top 50 player in the Class of 2013.
Brandon Miller has been a fucking disaster thus far, though, to be fair, losing Roosevelt Jones to injury last summer was a big blow.

Duke just landed 6'9" transfer Sean Obi. Obi averaged 11 and 9 as a frosh at Rice and will be eligible in 2015 for his sophomore season.

In the event that Duke does not get Chase Jeter and Jahlil Okafor only sticks around for one season, Obi is a great grab for Duke. The 265-pound Obi is a physical, low-post guy with excellent mobility and great hands. A defensive rebounding machine. Although he won't be on the floor for Duke next season, Obi's presence in practice going head to head with Okafor will pay big dividends.
I'm surprised that Duke closed so fast. He just visited Duke over the weekend and was scheduled to meet with several additional schools. K closed the deal quick. Exciting news.

He was looking at Michigan and Vandy. It's not a shock K won him over.

Those are the schools that he narrowed his list down to. In addition to Michigan, other schools also reportedly in the mix early were Virginia, Georgetown and UConn. As I said, Obi was was supposed to go on multiple visits after Duke. The visit must have been great and the fit just right.wildcats20;1607800 wrote:He was looking at Michigan and Vandy. Also, as his final list of schools suggest -- Duke, Michigan and Vanderbilt -- Obi was focused on not only selecting a good basketball school but also one that excels in academics. It's one of the primary reasons he was at Rice to begin. That's likely why Georgetown and Virginia were also contenders. Not sure about the validity of UConn.

Yeah, he looks like a solid fit for Duke as a big man. But I'm not going to lie. I had no idea he even played basketball two weeks ago. But I like what I've seen from his videos and from what I've read.wildcats20;1608063 wrote:Gotcha, all I ever saw were those 3.
