Does Gordon think he's a media member now? He needs to get back to work and stop making waves about Kyrie and who we're going to draft...

I'm worried about Gordon. He's another good season away from being another TO I'm afraid. Dude loves having his name out there.

Me too, which is part of the reason I'm glad the Browns are bringing in some veteran leaders. Hopefully, they can keep his nose to the grind stone. He hasn't earned his big payday yet, so hopefully, that's additional motivation.

I can see it now, the Browns eventually (key word for the trolls: eventually) have a good season (11 wins), and iggy will be nowhere to be seen during that time. Then the Browns will end up losing in the playoffs, and of course iggy will have a "revival" and somehow find a way to bitch. It must be exhausting to be that miserable.
I see where they are having a local kid from my area, Keith Wenning out of Ball State as well.

I dont expect him to get drafted before the 5th round. Great kid though, and he was one helluva baseball player.

I think I know what ya meant, and I imagine many, many professional athletes were great in other sports as well. Didnt know until the other day that a semi-local kid, one we played against a few times, Jonathon Niese of Defiance and the Mets was an all state soccer player.

But I digress. Told the Wenning kid if he did go to the browns and ever played I would root for him to throw for 350 yards, 4 TDs, but lose 31-28 each game!

Wenning was great at Ball St. I could see him being a starter some day.

That's gotta force browns to give him the contract. Don't let Mack walk. I don't care if it'd be a "record contract" for a center, he's a good player don't let good players walk.

Jags are giving the Browns exactly what they want. Mack was a bitch boy and wouldnt sign a long term deal, so the Browns let him go out to sign a long term deal. Now they will match and force mack to be in Cleveland in 5 years.

Agree, to an extent.

Too me it would depend on the number he's offered, and if I was Farmer/Haslam you need to bring him in and sit him down and talk face to face to see if he really wants to be in Cleveland and get an honest answer.

If he says No, then maybe they do need to let him go so that the contract doesn't become an albatross if he starts to let his play reflect his unhappiness.

But if it's all about the money with Mack, and as long has his number isn't something stupid, gotta match.

Agreed its good for the Browns, but I'd be scared to Bring Mack back for the money he's no doubt making, only to have him "coast" or have his level of play dip because of not wanting to be here.

I just don't buy him wanting to be in Jacksonville over Cleveland. Jacksonville!? Really Mack? You don't wanna be in Jacksonville, they're just the only ones that would talk to you about a long term deal. You want the money, we'll give it to you now shut up and play.

If mack comes out HIMSELF and says I don't want to be in Cleveland, then fine. Let him walk. But never in the history of football has a player signed an offer sheet and not said they wanted to play there... why would they. That's retarded.

@MaryKayCabot: #Browns Mack really enjoyed his visit with the #Jaguars, but is also fully prepared for the #Browns to match the offer, lg source said.

I don't understand this either. I'd much rather be in Cleveland.

Well, with the way the past few months have been, the weather probably was the main reason he did enjoy the visit.

Maybe he wants to know what it feels like to play in front of a home crowd that can only fill 80% of their stadium during their best years?

Either that or the owner told him they plan to move to LA.
