Benjamin is fine when he catches with his hands, not his chest.BR1986FB;1661592 wrote:Benjamin's issue isn't taking the ball out of the end zone. It's fielding punts. Ever since he injured his knee he's been gunshy, either muffing punts or calling for unnecessary fair catches when he has room to return it.

Everything will play its way out. Hoyer will either earn a new deal, a modest one, or he will fall and they with Howie Manzel. Unless he leads them to the AFC champ game and putting up great numbers I dont think he will be able to command a salary cap breaking contract. His agent will aim for it, but I dont think he would get it anywhere, and eventually return to the browns for a good, solid deal.BR1986FB;1662318 wrote:Interesting.....

With the rookie wage scale it isnt too expensive to keep him around after resigning BH. Now if this was 5 years go.....they would not be able to keep both.

Not that interesting IMO. Manziel has proven dick thus far, and Hoyer hasn't proven enough. I'll be interested in this in Feb.BR1986FB;1662318 wrote:Interesting.....

On ESPN right now they redid the top 10 of the NFL draft. Had Browns taking Odell beckham jr instead of Gilbert. Don't agree with that at all lol
They were also mocking farmer for not taking a WR. How's that working out for them, espntards?

As if their mock drafts arent stupid as can be...why are they even wasting time on redoing the draft? Slow sports day?SportsAndLady;1673493 wrote:On ESPN right now they redid the top 10 of the NFL draft. Had Browns taking Odell beckham jr instead of Gilbert. Don't agree with that at all lol

ODB seems to be a future stud, though i'm still happy with GilbertSportsAndLady;1673493 wrote:On ESPN right now they redid the top 10 of the NFL draft. Had Browns taking Odell beckham jr instead of Gilbert. Don't agree with that at all lol

They are really trying to push that hard. Schefter suggested the Browns might wish they traded gordon last year so they had draft picks for a WR LOL.SportsAndLady;1673493 wrote:On ESPN right now they redid the top 10 of the NFL draft. Yeah I've been sold on ODB since I read this http://mattwaldmanrsp.com/2014/02/04/six-plays-that-make-me-a-fan-of-wr-odell-beckhams-game/HighRoller74;1673500 wrote:ODB seems to be a future stud

I like beckham I just don't think we should have taken him over Gilbert.

I'd much rather have Beckham. Probabaly the best WR in the class this year (though he has the best QB throwing to him, which isn't saying much).

It's 10 games into the season. Let's see how Gilbert pans out before saying we would rather take a second WR and third receiver threat in this offense (Gordon and Cameron)

Beckham would be ahead of Cameron.
And I loved the Gilbert pick. I like the idea of having 2 lockdown corners. But that was because I wasn't sold on the WRs at 9. Seeing what ODB is, I would rather him. It's not like Gilbert is a #1 with Haden, so you are comparing a #2 at position with a #2 at position.

This will probably go down as the best collective season for a rookie WR class ever. Which I guess shouldn't be surprising considering a record number were taken in the first 2 rounds.

This class is gonna be pretty ridiculous.
ODB, Watkins, Evans and Benjamin we know about.
But, when Wayne retires, Moncrief will be a beast with Luck throwing to him.
Mathews and Bryant have been pretty damn impressive as well.
Not sure whats not to like about the class. Its is deep and top heavy all in one.
