Shazier made a lot of plays on a defense where he was the only guy always around the ball and a guy who was always the key to every offenses scheme.

I like Shazier, just not at 26. I like a couple other LB's before him at 26.

Shazier also played on a bad defense. A good def surrounding made brain rolle look awesome.

I don't really want him at 26, just mainly because Browns don't need a LB.

This too. I only said I'd take others over Shazier if they HAD to take a LB.HighRoller74;1594627 wrote:Like whom?

Or draft him based on his 250tkls, 40 tkls for loss, and 12 sacks over the last two years as the player defenses were focused on. Also, since the Browns have exactly 1 accomplished LB right now, another certainly wouldn't hurt.DeyDurkie5;1594670 wrote:Let's draft him based on one tackle

What position would he play?se-alum;1594727 wrote:Or draft him based on his 250tkls, 40 tkls for loss, and 12 sacks over the last two years as the player defenses were focused on. Also, since the Browns have exactly 1 accomplished LB right now, another certainly wouldn't hurt.
He's not a pass rusher, and he's not a Middle Linebacker. Every scout has pegged him as a will backer in 4-3 defense.

He would definitely upgrade whatever position Craig Robertson is slated to play. Good thing about Pettine is that he'll run whatever defense suits his personnel best, so going 4-3 with Dansby as the Mike, Mingo at Sam, and Shazier at Will, could be pretty good. At this point, our personnel is much better suited for the 4-3.HighRoller74;1594760 wrote:What position would he play?

Mingo is terrible in coverage, he's best suited to play the rush linebacker in the 3-4. I agree with Pettine being able to fit his personnel, just so much more can do at 26 for a team with more glaring holes than at LB. (Wouldn't be opposed to him the 2nd rd if he made it there)se-alum;1594796 wrote:He would definitely upgrade whatever position Craig Robertson is slated to play. I'm not saying the Browns should draft Shazier, just sayin' it wouldn't be the end of the world if they did. So many ways the Browns could go right now, and honestly, I'm alright with all of them that don't involve drafting Manziel or Derek Carr.HighRoller74;1594854 wrote:Mingo is terrible in coverage, he's best suited to play the rush linebacker in the 3-4. Well, I finally broke down and bought season tickets, so they had better not fuck up this draft.
