Take it easy. Not saying that at all. I'm glad he's our full time back now, but let's not pretend he's ray rice in terms of not fumbling the ball.Midstate01;1590922 wrote:Yea. Let's cut him now. I'd rather just see mcgahee tear another knee anyway.

I love the signing. got him for pretty damn cheap really. I think toby Gearhart got almost the same money per year. I couldn't be wrong. Didn't look it up to check.

Actually tate is getting the same yearly money as Gerhert. Only making the deal more of a steal.

Don't hate the Tate signing at all, but also wouldn't have cared much if he didn't sign.

Happy we signed Tate and on a team friendly contract. Agree with those who say we need a RB in the draft still. I'd like it to be Hyde but think we go QB, OG, CB first three picks. I'd take Storm Johnson from UCF in the 3rd or 4th round.

Wish Mack would just sign already.

If we waste a pick before the 4th round on a Rb I'm going to be pissed. There is no need, to many other holes to worry about an Rb in rounds 3 n 4. ^^^^^

Storm Johnson would be a solid choice. Have no clue when he is supposed to go, though.mucalum49;1591199 wrote:Happy we signed Tate and on a team friendly contract. Is Vickers a free agent? We need our big bruiser back to lead the way for Tate.
Does anybody remember Isiah Crowell the RB? I would have take him in the 6th or 7th round. I remember when he signed D1 he was a stud then had all his issues. but get him on the cheap.

Steve Doerschuk ‏ @ sdoerschukREP Mar 14Doug Dieken saying Chris Faulk (6-6, 330) could be a legit answer at guard. Ex-LSU player spent rookie year of 2013 on i.r.
I think he could be a stud for us. He was rated a 1st rounder before his injury. Guard or tackle.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Browns are "lurking" in the bidding for free agent Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.
In Cleveland, DRC could team with Joe Haden to give new coach Mike Pettine one of the league's most talented cornerback tandems. Rodgers-Cromartie will be in New York until Monday, where he's been meeting with the Jets and Giants. Rapoport suggested on Twitter Sunday that the holdup in talks with the Jets is whether owner Woody Johnson will be willing to pony up enough money.

Not FA related, but what ever happened to that 30 for 30 that was going to be about Browns/Cleveland fans? I thought it was going to come out this winter.

I've been advocating for him, too. Was a beast as a frosh at Georgia. Worth the red flag risk with a later round flyer.shook_17;1591338 wrote:Is Vickers a free agent? We need our big bruiser back to lead the way for Tate.

Believe ESPN is taking the browns unofficial motto and saying "wait till next year" to air the special.like_that;1591754 wrote:Not FA related, but what ever happened to that 30 for 30 that was going to be about Browns/Cleveland fans? I thought it was going to come out this winter.

[h=1]Raiders Identify Matt Schaub As Top QB Target[/h]The Oakland Raiders have identified Matt Schaub as their top target at quarterback, according to a source.
Mark Sanchez and Michael Vick are second and third options for the Raiders.
Schaub and Sanchez are expected to be released from their respective teams.
The Raiders also have Terrelle Pryor, Matt McGloin and Trent Edwards on their roster at quarterback.
Thank god. Go get him to save the browns.

TB had a horrible pro day. If JM has a good one and is selected at the top, would you all want Bridgewater

Alex Mack - C - Browns
Profootballtalk reports free agent C Alex Mack hasn't taken any visits and is generating no interest.
As Mike Florio points out, it might be best for Mack to sign the one-year, $10.039 million transition tender the Browns slapped him with before GM Ray Farmer rescinds the offer. The money around the league is starting to dry up one week into free agency, so the chances of Mack landing a deal he likes appear slim. He can earn the hefty salary in 2014 and hit the open market again next March.

You know, after reading what Greg Cosell said about Watkins, I think I'm pretty settled on wanting him. In hindsight, we're all disappointed that we didn't grab Julio when we had an opportunity, so let's make it happen now.thavoice;1592373 wrote:TB had a horrible pro day. NFL Films guru Greg Cosell stated on the Ross Tucker Podcast that he believes Clemson's Sammy Watkins is the best wide receiver prospect since A.J. Green and Julio Jones came out for the 2011 draft.
"If you just look at the skill set," Cosell said of Watkins, "I think you're dealing with a guy who's an explosive mover. He's a powerful mover. There's velocity to his movement. He can run over people. He's got straight-line speed. He's laterally quick. He's got run-after-the-catch strength." Watkins is also considered a pro-ready route runner. He's a lead-pipe lock to be drafted in the top-seven picks.
