I like Lewis, but if Tate goes down, I dont like him as an every-down back. Oby, eh. Not gonna win many games with him getting 15 touches, imo.

Id take a flyer on someone in the 4th or 5th RD who is a bruising type. Opposite of Lewis in case Tate goes down for a few games.

He's a good change of pace, 3rd down back. But if any team's main back went down, I'm sure they'd be unhappy with their third down back taking every carry. Lol

I don't want to waste a draft pick on a RB to be there in case out main back goes down. Just seems like a waste to me, especially with obby and Lewis here.

I don't really care who the RB is as long as he doesn't have stone hands and can hit a hole. RB is turning into just about the least important position on O with so many being able to have practically the same production.

Also, how did Tashaun Gipson add up to other free safeties in the league last year? Seemed like he played pretty well.
lol, don't say that to Iggy!

Farmer just isn't addressing needs in this free agency period. We should bring back Phil Savage.

This isn't a serious comment, correct?

Sounds like we got him on a very team friendly deal worth "up to" $7 million over two years based on incentives. Sounds like great idea to me!

I think these moves have been very solid. Especially with the way Tate's deal sounds, seems to be very little risk involved. We upgraded at ILB in my opinion, didn't resign Ward but signed Whitner who seems to want to be in Cleveland, is similarly talented to Ward, and has experience with winning teams, and Tate is obviously an upgrade over anything we had at RB last season. Good, solid moves for the new front office.

Thank God they got Tate signed. I was going to call for everyone to get their pitch forks and march on Berea if he had been allowed to leave this city without a contract.

Now we can take a developmental RB in the 4th/5th round without having to count on them as the primary ball carrier.

The front office finally seems to be grasping how to play the game. It is a welcome development.

Love how you went from night to day because of one signing of a RB. Lol. A RB with fumbling and injury problems.

Where are these fumbling issues? 1 every 4 1/2 games doesn't seem terrible. He also had 0 at Auburn.

Is that lost fumbles or just fumbles?

I hate the lost fumbles stat, cause your job is to not put it on the ground. Just cause your team recovers doesnt mean you didnt fail.

3 1/2 fumbles per year doesn't seem all that bad.

Tied for 6th in the NFL for most fumbles.

Thanks.

So 10 in 40 games. Not great but far from terrible.

Although, digging deeper, it is on 421 carries. So, that makes it a little worse. one every 42 carries is gonna look more like (1) every other game.

Regardless, it's a nice signing at a team-friendly rate, and not an old guy needing a walk as the previous regime blessed us with.

There ya go.

He's our full time back now, so take the fumbling stats out to a full season assuming 20 carries a game. 8 fumbles a year. Not good.

Yea. Let's cut him now. I'd rather just see mcgahee tear another knee anyway.

True. I like the signing a lot. Don't get me wrong.

Just thought it was funny how because of this signing, iggy is now on board the farmer train. Whereas yesterday the sky was falling lol
