Sounds like a fucking idiot to me, probably the same agent that told Hillis to sit out with Strep and advised LBJ to BF cleveland with "The Decision".

[h=1]Per League Source: St. Louis Rams Have Offers on Table from Cleveland Browns, Washington Redskins and a Few Surprise Teams[/h]

As the draft stock of quarterback Robert Griffin III soars, so does the value of the No. 2 overall pick currently held by the St. Louis Rams.

While Andrew Luck still appears to be a lock at No. 1 overall, Griffin III has become top choice of many QB-needy teams not named the Indianapolis Colts.

After speaking to a team executive Monday evening, offers for the Rams' No. 2 pick have started coming in, and a few teams have already dropped out of the race.

The Cleveland Browns have been the favorite to land the pick, given they arguably have the most ammunition. Per the league source, Cleveland has offered the No. 4 overall pick, two second round picks and a fifth round pick, but not the No. 22 overall pick. However, if the No. 22 overall pick is a must for the Rams, while reluctant, the Browns would likely be willing to include it.

Another team with an offer on the table is the Washington Redskins. According to the source, Mike Shanahan's team has offered the No. 6 and No. 39 overall picks, along with a third round pick and a second round pick in the 2013 draft.

It is believed the Seattle Seahawks are another team who made an offer, but the details of the offer are unknown at this time.

Now this may shock you, but the Mark Sanchez-led New York Jets also spoke with the Rams about the No. 2 overall pick, but as of now, they weren't able to devise a package large enough.

For now, while not necessarily surprising, it appears as if the Browns and Redskins are clear front-runners for the No. 2 overall pick. With that said, this writer fully expects the Rams to deal the pick within the first few days of the league year—which begins March 13 at 4:00 p.m EDT.

Once the league year begins and we learn the fate of Peyton Manning and get an idea as to where Matt Flynn will land, the value of the pick could diminish.

Ultimately, it would be very wise for Jeff Fisher and the Rams to deal the pick while RG3's stock is sky-high and before it ascends back to Earth.

I could handle giving up the 4, 2#2s and a 5th to move up

That's a lot but if they had #22 AND #37 they could still get a WR and a RT. And if that article IS correct, it would be pretty sweet heading into FA knowing you have your QB. You a) fill remaining needs and b) maybe attract a few FA's that you wouldn't with a new QB?

Can anyone else offer better without us giving up the #22? If not then I say roll the dice. Rams already looking to get monumentally better.

Which is why I think the Rams push to get this done BEFORE Manning & Flynn land. The value will only go down. The funny part is that if this story is true, these guys must be "all in" with blind faith having not even seen the kids Pro Day.

I'd love #2 and #22, that seems like a relatively cheap and we'd basically be losing a 2nd and a 5th (because #22 could be proxy-2nd).

Imagine if they had a deal in place BEFORE free agency?

I could see it going either way. He could be great or he could be Michael Vick (chokes when the game is on the line and never lives up to potential). It just pisses me off to think that we may need to give up 4 top 3 round picks to move up TWO FREAKING SPOTS. It should only take #4 and #37 to move up. The worst part is, the Rams can get the guy they want (Kalil or Blackmon) at 4 anyway. It's ridiculous.

I would be ok with this actually. It would be nice before free agency to know we got out qb and we could make a splash at the wr position

Heard RGIII interviewed on the radio this morning, some ESPN morning show didn't catch it all, but the hosts were pretty much in agreement that at least on paper, RG would be a Brown, (the word curse was tossed around) lol. He wasn't overly excited by that prospect.

Heard an interview with him regarding knowing he'll probably go to one of the bottom feeders in the NFL and he said he "welcomed the challenge of turning things around" for a team. Said that was the specific reason he went to Baylor.

according to the article if its two 2nd rounders we wouldnt have our 37th pick. im assuming it would be a 2nd rounder this year. but id for sure be down with those picks. just think the FA would know we have a good qb prospect coming in and be more open to coming to cleveland. RGIII will not be coming to cleveland due to it would be something going good for the browns and we all know that doesn't happen. smh.

Well, as long as he doesn't pull a Braylon and stop trying lol.

He's got a good head on his shoulders, he'll work hard no matter where he goes, especially after hearing that part about turning Baylor around.

Can They trade the picks before the draft or do they have to wait till draft day to swap picks??

If somebody passes up the Browns via trade, have we considered the fact the Browns still will be at #4 with quite a few good players on the board. Who is to say a team wouldn't be willing to get trade raped for a guy like Kalil or Blackmon?

I personally would like to see us trade rape another team....this team has so many needs and depth issues we need to continue to to build through the draft and have as many picks as we are allowed.

Part of me agrees with you.....

Part of me says "fuck it", lets go for it. I'm tired of adding building blocks, I'm tired of watching horrible football every damn Sunday. Whens the last time the Browns took a chance? Bringing in Griffin would instantly give the fans and the city a shot in the arm. Whats the worst thing that can happen? We lose more games? We've been doing that since 99 anyways.

Exactly. The "if RG3 busts you'll set the franchise back" cry is bullshit. You can't set something back that is at effing ROCK BOTTOM.

It's not like this team has been a perennial winner year in and year out. You get the "shot in the arm" and the Browns are relevant again, nationally, as a football team.

Cam Newton didn't have Carolina in the playoffs last year but who was the talk of the nation (along with Tebow)? People may hate the Browns nationally but they'd get attention through Griffin.

This. It seems like the Browns trade down every year anyway. And look how that has worked out. Very few impact skill position players on this team. I say they either trade up for Griffin or stand pat at #4 and take someone like Blackmon. Just my two cents.

A bunch of solid players but no impact "superstars" at the skill positions. Says a lot about the state of the franchise when their recognizeable superstar is a LEFT TACKLE.

The "if RG3 busts you'll set the franchise back" cry is bull****.
Particularly now that the rookie cap is in place.

In the old days if you missed on a top 5 QB it would haunt your cap for years, which made the miss that much worse.

Now though if you miss it is only a missed pick, instead of a missed pick that simulatenously cripples the teams ability to get better because of a mamoth cap figure.

Look at the Rams, in a perfect world they would probably love to take RGIII and trade Bradford. His cap number being what it is, not even an option as they literally couldn't afford to.

The rookie cap has greatly reduced the consequences of missing on a player, but at the same time has made trading up harder (more expensive) because teams no longer have to worry about how they are going to pay $40+ million in guarantees to a guy who has never stepped on the field.

Everybody's favorite hack Tony Rizzo is fond of saying that you can either draft the impact players to play for you, or you can let someone else draft them and play against them.
