What the hell is up your asses tonight? The Browns don't need another possession receiver, no matter how good he is; they need a guy who can actually stretch a defense vertically and open up the running game. Judging by his 4.42 time (which I guess was changed to a 4.47 so...) he could be a big asset to the Browns in that regard as well as a dominant run blocker (which I think will be one of his biggest assets to a team) and tough runner who just happens to catch everything.
The Browns just need good WRs..I dont care if all 4 of them are possession receivers or speed guys..I don't give a shit. Just find good WRs for once in my god damn lifetime.

Whats the larger need- QB or WR?
Would Josh Cribbs, Greg Little and Massaquoi be more productive with a different QB then McCoy?
Or would McCoy be a lot better with a few more star WR's?

I will be so terribly disappointed if draft RGIII; even more, I seriously may stop following this team if we trade up for him. I think trading up for RGIII is a terrible move that will set this team back another 4-5 years.

Why do you think it's a terrible move?

It could, if they give up too much. Or it could be the best move they've made since their return if he turns out to be a stud.

No doubt about it.

Damn. Might as well close this thread and start something new.

I think trading up for RGIII would finally give the Browns a franchise quarterback and would set them up for a Super Bowl run within the next 5 years.

This doesn't exactly help things though....

I think the funniest line in this whole report is "the team’s coaching staff being “confused” on what to do with a player of Griffin’s skill set." Anyone else surprised by this given Shurmur's performance so far?

I have been making that point for months now that they wouldn't know what to do with him only to be savaged by the crowd that considers truth telling and realism to be hating and negativity.

Nice to see I have been right on the money while some others have chosen to bury their head in the sand about the competency of this regime.

What's the asking price for Luck?

Id rather give up an extra pick and go for the guy that's done it for multiple years than the guy who tore up the Big 12. I mean Kendall Weights 4.6 was burning the big 12

Priceless from everything I've heard. I don't blame them either, I wouldn't give up that pick for just about any package of picks if I were Indy.

Posted this on the combine thread...my thoughts regarding trading 4/5 picks for RGIII:

Yeah, that's where the disagreement is here. I actually like him a lot. He's got a terrific head on his shoulders and is an elite athlete. However, I'm legitimately wary of the pathetic Big 12 defenses.

Big 12 QBs from the last few years who tore that conference up (some in NFL some not):

Blaine Gabbert
Josh Freeman
Todd Reesing
Chase Daniel
Colt McCoy
Sam Bradford
Vince Young

When I watched Bradford struggle against a defense with NFL players in Florida in 2009 after TEARING UP the Big 12, I started to have my doubts, but was still pretty certain he'd be a very good NFL quarterback. Now after watching him and Freeman regress and Gabbert looking to be completely awful, I have my doubts about that conference preparing it's quarterbacks for the NFL. For me, that's why RGIII is an uncertain commodity to me, and why I'm not shocked Cam Newton had great success after succeeding in an extremely tough defensive conference.

Agreed....Indy would be dumb, barring injury....I think he is a sure thing

Good news!

I can't get 92.3 in canton so I was listening to Fedor on WKNR talking about Griffen today. Sooooooooooo annoying. He would do anything to get RGIII. The only good thing Hooley has ever done is create a segment where his partner asks fedor a question (he rarely gets right) and if he gets it wrong his mic gets shut off for the rest of the segment.

Nice! I just hope we didn't overpay and give him a ridiculous contract.

5 years 42 mil 19 guaranteed

I don't know what the base salary is going to be, but it seems to be on par with the top LBs in the league

As long as he stays healthy this was a good and needed move by the Browns. Now let's see if they can draft/sign some other linebackers to complement him.
