The asking price for the browns will be lower than Washington miami or Seattle bc the rams could move down to 4 and still get Blackmon or kalil. Where at those other teams spot they won't be able to. The both first would be enough IMO

Lol little guy? Last week I was fat, now I'm little guy. Well at least you somehow noticed I've lost weight in the past 2 weeksCommander of Awesome;1093827 wrote:That wasn't my point. Nice stretch fail. Not surprised my post went over your head though.
Let me break it down for you little guy
in this day in age of NFL football franchise QB > WR.
I didn't say WR > QB, I'm saying this team needs a lot of things, and while WR isn't the #1 priority, I'd put it at #2. So if we can get that locked up and not have to trade our picks to do so, that'd be better than trading a lot for a franchise QB that may not pan out.

But if he does pan out then it instantly improves your team a lot more than a good receiver would. If they feel rg3 is that guy I say go for it.

The Eli Manning trade is the one historically that is closest in comparisson to me, and the Giants had to trade 2 #1's, a 3rd and a 5th to get him, even though it was only 4 draft spots.
We will for surely have to give 4 & 22, but they are going to want something else since other teams will likely be giving 2 #1's and a 2.....even though their #1 this year is a little lower than ours. Not our 2nd, but I think they will want at least our third.

Might as well never draft or sign a QB with that mind set.Ytowngirlinfla;1093789 wrote:You really think RG III is a franchise QB? If he comes to Cleveland he won't be.

They may want our 3rd but I don't see us giving it up. I think they will go with both firsts and tell the rams to take it or leave it. It really depends on if the rams want Blackmon or kalil bad enough. I honestly see them taking the browns deal unless the skins or Miami offers 3 first rounders

I think alot also is going to depend on what Minnesota seems like they are going to do. If St. Louis really likes Kalil, and is so so on Blakmon, chances are Kalil will be gone by #4 because I think Minnesota will take him if he is there. They have a young franchise QB and desperately need a tackle.Crimson streak;1094013 wrote:They may want our 3rd but I don't see us giving it up. If the Rams conclude Kalil won't be there at 4, I think the Browns have to sweeten the deal past 4 and 22 because they would be passing up at minimum a #2 from other teams that the Browns aren't offering.
Everyone will be offering 2 #1's, so at that point it becomes a case of whether they like likely Blakmon enough pass up on getting an extra #2 pick in a package from another team vs. the Browns offer of just 2 #1's.
How much Minnesota likes Kalil is going to determine what the Browns have to pay because I don't think Jeff Fisher is the type that will pass up extra high draft picks to take a receiver at 4 (assuming Kalil would be gone). He would do it for a franchise left tackle, but I doubt it very highly on a receiver.

This. They got that 2nd first rounder with a good trade, don't fucking just give it away amongst other picks to move up 2 spots.wes_mantooth;1094049 wrote:Agreed.

Agreed......The last time we had a "franchise" QB was Bernie if you want to call him that......and we gave up a couple #1's to get him and we got close to making the Super Bowl.....If you as a GM firmly believe he is the guy your franchise needs you go get him........Also when he pans out , it will be easier to get free agents to come to Cleveland to play with him......There isn't any free agent WR's clamoring to come to Cleveland to play with Colt McCoy...........

Just imagine this group:
QB- Matt Flynn
RB- Trent Richardson, Peyton Hillis
WR- Massoquoi, Wright
That sounds like playoff potential in a few years, even in the toughest division.

no it doesnt. it sounds like shit. im sorry, i don't want anything to do with matt flynn at all. id rather be stuck with colt again. gimme rgIII with the 4th pick or tannehill. fuck that. that dude hasn't done anything in the NFL and you want to give him a fat ass contract to come here, no way. and secondly if the browns resign hillis they won't draft richardson, and massaqoui as your number 2? wtf are you smoking. im glad you are not our gm.ichsnjb;1094113 wrote:Just imagine this group:

Barkley, Tyler Bray, Landry Jones, Tyler Wilson, Aaron Murray (although he's a little bit short).
Better QB class than this year in my opinion. I'd take all 5 of them before a guy like Tannehill, Osweiler, or Weeden this year.
But probably none of them will be as highly regarded as Luck/RGIII.

Wide receiver without question. Drafting Blackmon, Wright and Page would finally solve this problem.hangonsloopy;1093864 wrote: What is the one thing this team hasn't had since they came back?
