MARCEL projection system has the Indians finishing 83-79 (as of January 28th), 1 game behind Detroit and making the playoffs 41% of the time.

Combine starts Wednesday. Free agency in a little over 3 weeks. Things should start picking up here soon.

Steve Hutchinson will likely be cut. Rumor is the Browns will be a likely destination. I would prefer to go after a guy with alot of years left like Carl Nicks or Ben Grubbs

Rumor that Kam Wimbley might get cut, I'd be interested in bringing him back.

didn't he just sign a long term deal last year? i know the new coach and gm want "their" guys but what a waste of money. he didn't have a bad year last year.

Yeah he signed a new deal, with a different GM and a different coach and a different owner. Speculation is that he'll be cut as his contract is fairly sizable.

Oh the irony. Quinn was loving it when the fans were calling for him in Cleveland, and now he's bitching that the fans wanted Tebow.

When does the combine start, and will it be on NFL Network again?

Tomorrow and I would guess yes, but I don't have NFL network so I don't care enough to confirm that.

Here is a schedule for you. You probably won't see anything until Friday and anything that is really interesting until Saturday.

Chargers likely not going to franchise Vincent Jackson, making him a free agent.

He just turned 29, so he is in his prime, and is what this team so desperately needs right now.

We have money to spend, Heckert should look into it.

VJax is one incident away from being suspended a year, and has injury concerns. I'd rather draft a young WR.

I figured you wouldn't want him, can't remember a time you would take any "big name" player in FA. If he gets suspended I don't believe the Browns have to pay him. I would take a shot at him, we need a veteran WR.

They're usually a FA for a reason. No I don't want to over pay an often injured 29 year old WR with past issues. I'd much rather draft a young guy. FA is fools gold.

I think a big time free agent is fine if he is young, but the older ones are for teams that believe they are one player away from being a championship team

I can't think of any good young FAs to hit the market in the last 5 seasons. Wes Welker to the Patriots is about the only one I can think of, and that had other circumstances behind it.
