The Texans just signed Johnathan Joseph last season. He made the Pro Bowl.
I saw that NFL network coverage will run from Saturday through Tuesday for those of you hoping to watch.

Here's the NFL combine schedule. No wonder coverage doesn't start on TV until Saturday. The first few days are just registration, measurements, interviews, and psych testing.

What in the world is going on in Berea right now?
How in the world do you have media availability and not allow reporters to tape or broadcast it?
I am convinced these people are living in the stone age, and it is 1988 with the West Coast Offense running strong in Mike Holmgren's mind.
Those that were there got the impression the Browns have no intention of going up to get Griffin, as they are still very committed to the system and the process of growing what they already have with McCoy and whoever they bring in as a free agent.
Shurmur did officially confirm that Chilly will be in the press box but won't be allowed to call plays.

You're QQing because the FO is acting like they don't want RG3? Why would they act like they would? Smokescreen, the FO will never reveal its plan before the draft. Don't get worked up over it.

Do you listen to or watch any of the sports talk coverage in this city? They are being laughed at for how backwards things are.like_that;1093484 wrote:SMH. If someone read this post to me without telling me who the poster was, I could have easily guessed it was QQPride00.

You mean the most jaded group of "journalists" in this country? No. Considering the amount of QQing coming form you, I am not really surprised that's what you listen to.IggyPride00;1093591 wrote:Do you listen to or watch any of the sports talk coverage in this city? No way do you trade up to get griffin. We NEED that 2nd first rounder as bad as the first one.

I'll take a franchise QB for the next 12 years over a WR thanks.Midstate01;1093744 wrote:No way do you trade up to get griffin. We NEED that 2nd first rounder as bad as the first one.

You really think RG III is a franchise QB? If he comes to Cleveland he won't be.Commander of Awesome;1093751 wrote:I'll take a franchise QB for the next 12 years over a WR thanks.

Yeah the last thing the Browns need is a #1 receiverCommander of Awesome;1093751 wrote:I'll take a franchise QB for the next 12 years over a WR thanks.

i am on the fence about drafting rgIII, it really depends on what you have to give up for him.

Agreed, but its not certain that RGIII is going to be a franchise QB. If we draft him, I hope he proves to be one.Commander of Awesome;1093827 wrote:

If H&H are sold on him I have no problem giving up 22 to move up. What is the one thing this team hasn't had since they came back? The most important position on the field. If they aren't sold and decide to not take him I'm fine with that too. Only because i don't want to give up picks for someone the front office isn't completely sold on.
Great teams need elite quarterbacks. Until they get one it doesn't matter how many extra picks they have.

No quarterback (including Luck) is a sure thing to be a franchise QB, but RGIII is one of the best prospects to come out at the QB position in a long time. This is a guy that changes the CULTURE of a team which is what the Browns sorely need. It's much easier to find great receivers than a great quarterback. If you want to sit through another season of Colt McCoy looking lost that's fine, I'm gonna go ahead and take RGIII and be a Super Bowl contender in a few years.

Honestly if rg3 does turn out to be the real deal this team really could be a real super bowl contender in a few years. There really not that far away as people think. The one huge thing is a qb and a receiver or 2 and a play making lb and they could get 2 or 3 of those in this years draft.

What exactly do ya'll think Miami, Washington, or Seattle would be giving up to get the #2 pick. No reason to give up #22 to move 2 spots.

For those teams, at minimum their 1, 2 and #1 next year. Likely more.Sonofanump;1093951 wrote:What exactly do ya'll think Miami, Washington, or Seattle would be giving up to get the #2 pick. No reason to give up #22 to move 2 spots.
Now that the salary cap takes away the issue of how to pay a guy (used to have to give out Bradford type deals which detered moving up) it will take a lot more to move up to trade for a franchise QB.
I think we could do it for the #4, #22, and our 3rd round pick possibly. That still likely wouldn't be enough.
The Rams aren't looking at it like only moving up 2 spots, it is moving up for the right to draft a franchise QB. There is a major premium on that.
