He was injured for almost 1/2 the year and was there for only 1 season.

A great draft this year, puts us in good position for the playoffs. Book it. Like BR has said, we are signing our core guys to extensions. That's using the money you have in a smart, controlled way. They have a plan and are sticking to it. The only people it pisses off are the irrational, retarded fans(pick6) that think spending huge amounts of money on free agents will automatically mean success.

Your expectations of a bunch of rookies coming in and making a "playoff run" type impact is very unrealistic.

Just like it is unrealistic for a bunch of posters on this thread to think RG3 is instantly going to make the Redskins at least 3 games better.

Not really. We've got veterans in place(thomas, jackson, mack, dawson, rubin, etc) that will help mentor them. Sheard, taylor, haden etc had no problem coming in and producing. This team just needs a few more holes filled to get to that point and that is shown by the close division games we had last year. It's really not that unrealistic to think with a great draft this year that we will be in the hunt. I mean fuck, over half of our games were one posession games heading into the 4th quarter.

Still have that one GLARING "blemish" that these holes being filled won't overcome.

Colt Mccoy isn't playing every position on the field. He's a winner, and with a good team around him, will win games. In my opinion of course!

If Dimitri Patterson and Chris Gocong are core players, then we're even more fucked than I thought.

Is it? It worked for the Bengals last year. We have a chance at 3 legitimate impact players if we don't botch the picks. The FO had a good draft last year and I trust their judgment to make magic with 4,22, 37.

We don't have a starting QB/RB/or #1 WR.

That is more than a few holes, considering those are essentially the most important positions on that side of the ball.

He WAS a winner but that's a debate for another day.

This team will have to score at LEAST 300 points throughout the course of the season (up from 218 last year) while giving up less than 300 (last year was 307) to even be "competitive." Now I could see the defense tightening up but no way do I see this stone aged offense improving THAT much.

And it's just a "given", in your eyes, that these draft picks will be light speed above other draft picks and perform like seasoned pros...just like AJ Green, correct?

^^ we better hope so or we will be picking top three next year. with three picks in the top 40 of the draft this year, our offense of playmakers are going to get better with this draft. (hopefully) the only thing is can he progress with them or will he suck ass and cause us to do horrible.

Agreed...not to mention the Browns offense is VERY easy to defend.

well yeah BR they put 8 in the box and stop the run, because we all know colt can't beat them through the air. quick question. how many 300 yard games has he had? 1? and that was when he had 50 completions against the titans last year?

first off. fuck that. im tried of losing and being the laughing stock of the NFL.

secondly, i don't think we are going to have to bust for shit. we already have enough holes. get some playmakers this year get a year under their belt, and get our qb next year

They won't have to "bust." Even trying they are still going to have a top 3 pick. :(
