As for McCoy, have I not said I would be open to an upgrade several times? I would have absolutely been open to RG3, as I said, who wouldn't be for the right price? So Holgrem and Heckert did their due diligence and inquired. They were willing to part with a couple picks, but when the cost became outrageous, they bowed out. You're just a bitter Browns fan and want the sexy quarterback and you want it right now. I bet you were hounding for Brady Quinn a few years back too... and that one turned out great. I will say it one more time so, and I will use small words and hopefully with enough emphasis that you can understand: the Browns would improve from a QB upgrade. However, I'm not sure why you're even arguing now because we have no change at RG3. I wouldn't be opposed to Weeden at 37, even, but 22 is too high for a QB with no experience that should already be in his prime. The fact that you resort to name-calling and bullying to try to corner others further solidifies the fact that you have very little knowledge or understanding of the QB position and that you were more than likely a lineman, if you even played at all. I'm sure we're all fine if you keep chucking insults at others in order to make yourself feel good, because that proves the point that you really don't have any relevant information to share at all. You're just a bitter Browns "fan" who has no clue how to manage your anger, let alone a football organization. They may not prefer to have McCoy as their quarterback, but with limited options now, it looks like McCoy is the guy for this year.
thank you for summing up our thoughts on the situation. We aren't mccoy nuthuggers, we just don't feel he was given a fair shot with the offense last season. Not to mention shurmur's conservative play calling. If we upgrade the qb great, if we don't, I'm confident mccoy will lead us.

I understand you disagree BR, but it's ridiculous how much you shit on mccoy. We can surround him with weapons, and we can still get a qb next year, or the year after that, or the year after that. It's the regimes job to rebuild, and they said they were doing it with the draft. I trust them, and they have produced 2 great drafts for us.

Durkie...I understand that the fans don't feel he got his "fair shot" but H&H don't HAVE to give him that shot. He's a third round QB that they were hoping to catch "lightning in a bottle' with and he wasn't even supposed to play in his first season.

I also realize that he was put in an unfair situation with Mangini/Daboll being dicks and alienating him. I do disagree on the "not fair....new coach, new system, etc." Players (Andy Dalton/Cam Newton) deal with that all of the time. What I AM saying is that the NFL is not "fair." They don't have to be "fair." After 21 games they have enough of a body of work to judge him by.

They may "ride him out" this year but I highly doubt it happens unless they can't find anyone else. Believe me, I UNDERSTAND that you WANT to see what he will do WITH weapons. We differ in that I think that's an exercise in futility. We just disagree...that's all.

As far as the "All Knowing One" goes...played it through college, coached it for 5 years. Could put together a defense in under 30 minutes that would stop McCoy.

Interesting that you chime in because you know what wouldn't really be "fair?" A guy leading his team to a 1st round upset in the playoffs only to get booted off the team because an NFL legend became available but I digress.

I still don't get why you wouldn't want to attend a game/tailgate. I literally devalue everything you say because of it.

That is business in the NFL. Tebow would be traded more than likely if that happened. No big deal. The Broncos better hope that Manning can actually play and not re-injure his neck because the fans might just "occupy" Elway's office.
This "McCoy hasn't gotten a fair shake" is just plain bull.

I'm pretty sure that if manning is going around to teams looking to play, then that is good enough for me. Manning is too much of a class athlete so go to a team when not healthy. Plus, with the type of offense they will insstall, no way tebow can come off the bench and run it. Nor can they switch the offense to spread immediately.

Agree completely but a lot of the fans don't see it that way. I think the front office does. Heckert has even said that they have enough to evaluate him on.

Maybe but he hasn't offered to work out for the teams either. The 2nd part is why I said they would have to trade Tebow.
Any team is taking a gamble on Manning especially one where the fans love the QB currently in place.

Yeah, I think Manning will be ready to play. The neck isn't as much of a concern as the nerves regenerating and the arm strength returning. One of the docs who cleared him said he would've cleared the neck to play "if Manning was his own son."

The Browns needed to get RG3. Now what are they going to do with the QB position?

A little late to the party.
