Maybe we can bring back Jim Brown too? NRTU, Iggy but Hutch is 35 years old and on the downside of his career.

Fuck that. Washington will be bound to overpay for free agents the next three years since they'll not have a first round pick. I don't hold quarter against St. Louis for jumping all over that deal.

Hopefully St. Louis comes knocking and Cleveland can get an Atlanta type trade again.

Yeah, St Louis has got to love having TWO 1st rounders in 2013 AND 2014.

I know he is old. I was posting it because it is one of the first times I have seen anyone connected with the Browns via free agency possibly.

Wouldn't hurt to bring in Hutchinson on the cheap. At the very least he could be a good veteran presence for guys like Lavauo, Pinkston, any rookie this year, etc....Don't forget that he was at one time perhaps the best at his position in the league.

Not that this would EVER happen but wouldn't it be funny as shit if after all of the hoopla of this Washington trade that Griffin pulled an Elway/Eli Manning and said he wouldn't play for the Skins? And before the resident "jackass" chimes in, I know it's "not gonna happen" and it's not "wishful thinking" or whatever you want to call it. I think it would be hilarious.

And a good point was brought up....does Griffin even have to do his Pro Day now that it's a forgone conclusion that he's the #2 pick?

That would be great. In his press conference he would say "I stated numerous times I don't want any teams throwing away future picks on me."

Except they wouldn't be "throwing away picks."

You know who was a real "wasted pick?" Joe Thomas...it's a shame that he may be the only Hall of Famer to have NEVER played in a playoff game. The regimes have wasted his career by putting shitty QB after shitty QB behind him to protect.

You can't fault the Rams for doing what they feel helps them. In hindsight, I think Washington has gone all in on RGIII. If, for any reason, he doesn't become the second coming of Peyton, the Skins are screwed for many years to come. This deal reminds me of when Dallas got all those picks for Walker years ago. That helped lay the foundation for Super Bowl success. How did the Vikes come out of that?

No way, though, should the Browns consider trading now. Hopefully Plan B and free agency works for them.

As much as I wanted Griffin, three 1st's is a tad steep. Washington is in a much better position to surround him with weapons and make him successful quicker. They have the money and their GM isn't afraid to use free agency. I have a feeling that RG3 likely will be a success a lot faster in WASH than he would've here.

The Rams were very smart to take that deal and, in fact, they may have used the Browns to drive up the asking price even more. After thinking about it more, there's no way the Browns were going to outbid the Skins.

I am so glad they didn't sell the farm for RGIII....although he is a great athlete, has charisma, smart, he is still never played a down in the NFL and to give up all that for a question mark is crazy and just glad it wasn't us.

I'd like to see us either stay at 4 and draft Claiborne

or

Trade down and get more picks to build this team with young talent.

I'm actually warming to taking Blackmon, IF and ONLY IF, they pull the trigger on Brandon Weeden at 22 and make him the starter from day 1 and they can't trade down. If they can get 5-6 years out of him while they continue to build the team I'm cool with that. Don't give a shit about his age. Like Heckert said "if he's 22-23 years old instead of 29, he's a top 10-15 pick in this draft." They will have to take him at 22 though because if the Tebow's don't land Manning, Weeden is a Bronco at 25.

BR I was down in panama city beach last week. Didn't catch weedens pro day. He did that good to slide him to the 22nd pick? And I agree if he gives us 5 to 6 good years who cares. Anybody but colt. He knows his time is coming to an end.

He did well at his pro day. QB's are at a premium. I have to believe that if guys like Locker & Ponder were taken as high as they were last year that someone will take Weeden/Tannehill higher than they should.

Weeden is more "pro ready" than any QB in this draft except for Luck. He's more pro ready than Griffin but doesn't have the upside. Biggest concern is the age. He's big and has a strong arm. Can make all of the throws.

Well good. Like they were saying if it wasn't for his age, he would be a top 10 15 pick. I have no problem with him at 22.

I did see something on pro football talk on twitter, sounds like redskins are going to go hard after vincent jackson.

ONLY if Weeden is the second part of the package. Otherwise, DO NOT WANT. Have to have someone to get him the ball.

No thanks on Weeden. Much rather have Flynn, Kolb, Tannenhill, Moore, Arizona guy, Persa, Keenum, and Wilson before they look at Weeden.

FIFY.

Also BR i'm not following your logic about Blackmon. Why does it matter who the QB for drafting him?

I don't understand this logic either when there are other QB's who are much more viable options.

If the Browns draft Weeden, he would be the oldest and least experienced QB in the AFC North. Talk about a joke.

Surrounding McCoy with weapons is a waste. Only way I'm down with staying the course with McCoy is if the coaching staff intentionally tanks the season to go "all in" for Barkley which I don't see happening. ANYBODY but McCoy...Hell, I'd take Derek Anderception back over McCoy. :(
